Kim Jaejoong has finally returned to our side with an album.
This album signifies Kim Jaejoongâs first solo activities as a singer and has a total of five rock genre tracks, but each song captures the unique style of Kim Jaejoong to showcase a variety of techniques in one album. In the pre-released song âOne Kissâ and âMineâ, which had its music video released on the night of the 16th, the intense sound and Kim Jaejoongâs explosive vocal talent are the main charms of the song. Meanwhile, the newly revealed tracks, âYou Fill Me Upâ, âMy Own Consolationâ and âAll Aloneâ, showcase his mellow voice with a melodious track. Overall, the album is being praised as a âhigh quality albumâ.
Mineâ, which received an explosive response after having its music video released at midnight on the 17th, perfectly combines Kim Jaejoongâs explosive vocal talent with well-expressed emotions and topped the music charts of Bugs and Cyworld as soon as it was released. The intense beat, sophisticated melody line and honest lyrics stimulate the listenersâ ears and has made its mark as the most trendy song of the winter.
âYou Fill Me Upâ and âAll Aloneâ are melodious rock ballads that showcase the consideration the artiste has put in to ease fans into rock. If âMineâ was an intense song, than these two tracks have Kim Jaejoongâs mellow and emotional voice melting into the songs to tug at the heartstrings of listeners. The last track All Alone was composed and written by Kim Jaejoong, and the calming piano instrumental leaves a big impact.
âOne Kissâ, one of the tracks of Kim Jaejoongâs first solo mini album, topped the iTunes rock charts of nine countries including Japan, Singapore and Taiwan, as well as domestic music charts. The four other tracks that were released today ranked first to fourth on Bugs and Cyworldâs music charts, helping Kim Jaejoong making his mark as âArtiste Kim Jaejoongâ.
Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong will be holding a very special concert âYour, My and Mineâ at the Ilsan KINTEX on the 26th and 27th.

Jung Yunho will appear in the second episode of âQueen of Ambitionâ as an ice hockey player.
Jung Yunho (U-Know Yunho) will make his first appearance on the second episode of SBSâ Monday-Tuesday drama âQueen of Ambitionâ that airs on the 15th of January. He plans to show off his boyish charm as the love interest of Soo Ae and as the chaebol Baek Do Hoon.
On this day, Do Hoon will be locked in a competitive ice hockey match with his schoolâs rival Kyeongshin University as an ice hockey player of Donghwa Universityâs graduating class. For this scene, Jung Yunho visited the Oulimnuri ice rink in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and filmed for a total of 20 hours from 8am to 4am the next day.
Jung Yunho received much applause for his sharp skating skills that matched his characterâs talents. The Kyung Hee University ice hockey team made a special appearance for the scene and were later heard to have been surprised. Jung Yunho appeared on SBSâ âI Like Sundays â Kim Yunaâs Kiss&Cryâ in 2011 and took on the challenge of figure skating, and it was said that he has been receiving intensive individual training since he was cast in âQueen of Ambitionâ.
In the photos that the staff released on the 15th, viewers can see Jung Yunho gliding on the ice with his talent and stick work. He is perfectly portraying the passionate and cute charm of his character.
It is said that 1,000 fans from Jung Yunhoâs fanclub participated in the filming process. Since it would realistically be impossible to call in 1,000 extras, the staff could have filled the seats with computer graphics, even if it would look awkward. However, Jung Yunhoâs fans stepped forward to solve the issue. A total of eight cameras, including the main camera, supporting camera, a body camera and a wire camera, were used to create a lively scene.
Jung Yunho said, âIâm very nervous because this is the first time in a while that Iâm appearing in a drama, but I will work hard as a rookie actor. Iâm happy to be working with such great seniors.â He also expressed his gratitude for the fans who came to support him, despite the cold weather.

TVXQâs Jung Yunho received positive reviews for his first appearance in the SBS drama âQueen of Ambitionâ.
Jung Yunho made his latest appearance, not on stage, but as Baekhak Groupâs next-in-line chaebol Baek Do Hoon in SBSâ new Monday-Tuesday drama âQueen of Ambitionâ on the 15th. This will be his first regular appearance in a drama in approximately four years since the 2009 MBC drama âHeading to the Groundâ.
Baek Do Hoon didnât seem so different from the other chaebols weâve seen in other dramas in the past. He is a college student who is also an ice hockey player for his schoolâs team and has no interest in running the company. After a fateful meeting with the female lead Da Hae (Soo Ae), a romance between the two was foretold as the typical âimpossible loveâ between a rich man and a poor woman was drawn out.
However, Jung Yunho molded himself into Baek Do Hoonâs character with his own unique charm and is planning to grab the hearts of female viewers. his appearance in an ice hockey playerâs uniform matched with his boyish looks to give him a daring and masculine image.
The considerate manner in which he acted around the woman of his interest made Jung Yunhoâs character shine brighter. In the teaser video for the following episode, Baek Do Hoon was seen asking Da Hae, âDo you have a boyfriend?â and beginning his advances on her.
The viewersâ reaction to Jung Yunhoâs first appearance wasnât negative. Most of the opinions included, âHis acting has improved a lot compared to the what it was beforeâ, âThough heâs still awkward at times, I canât wait to see what Baek Do Hoon will be like,â and âBaek Do Hoonâs appearance helps the fast pace of the storyline.â
The acting activities of idol stars hasnât always been successful. This is because it can be a âdangerous choiceâ to appear in a drama based on a pervious image and charm alone, without much preparation or experience though their acting skills may be lacking as a singer.
Amidst the different opinions that surround acting idol stars, there are some who have successfully shown good results within their acting careers. In the case of JYJâs Park Yoochun, he has appeared in both modern-day and historical dramas such as MBCâs âMiss Ripleyâ and SBSâ âRooftop Princeâ, and has been improving his skills as an actor through various dramas, receiving high praise from viewers.
Jung Yunho has also put much consideration in his decision to return to acting. During the âQueen of Ambitionâ press conference on the 9th, he stated, âI hope this drama becomes a stepping stone that helps me become more successful as an actor,â and âIâve worked on the parts I was lacking in, and I hope to show improvement.â
Regarding this, a representative of SM Entertainment stated, âJung Yunho does have plans made as a singer, but he is working hard to focus his efforts on his acting for now.â
Though he is one of the most popular idol stars in Korea as a member of TVXQ, the title of an âactorâ is still unfamiliar to Jung Yunho. But he has the potential to succeed. With âHeading to the Groundâ ending with more disappointment than satisfaction, many are curious to see what kind of reviews Jung Yunho will receive as an actor in his second drama âQueen of Ambitionâ

The music video of JYJ Kim Jaejoongâs title song âMINEâ for his solo mini album will be released soon.
C-JeS will be released the music video of âMINEâ on JYJâs official YouTube channel at midnight on the 17th.
Kim Jaejoong wrote the lyrics for all the songs in his upcoming mini album and has filled it with his own stories to share.
âOne Kissâ was pre-released on the 9th, and showcased Kim Jaejoongâs charming voice and exceptional vocal talent. The song received an explosive response on domestic and overseas charts.
C-JeS Entertainment stated, âWe can say with certainty that this will be the most sensational music video of this year. The best staff have come together and the power of the song was magnified in the music video,â and âThe music video was shot for a total of 60 hours, and Kim Jaejoong put all his concentration into his work, regardless of the risks of injuries, to make sure that the best scenes would be included in his music video. He received high praise from the staff members.â
Director Lee Sang Gyu, who directed the music video, commented, âThe lyrics of âMINEâ seemed to reflect the agony and loneliness of an artiste who is trying to establish his own territory. Such an intricate and complicated world was expressed through a variety of symbolic images, and we added the transcendental image of the coexistence of good and evil to carefully express the thirst of an artiste who wishes to be different from what is considered normal.â
Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoongâs first mini album âMINEâ will be release online and offline on the 17th

TVXQâs âmaknaeâ (youngest member). A small and quiet voice. The face of a person who grew up well. These were the few images we remembered of Max Changmin before the interview. Even during it, he was quiet, well-mannered, and gave us a peek at the humor that befits the youngest of the group. With these characteristics, Max Changmin talked about the TVXQ we know today. A group that has a very distinct divide between passionate fans and the public. A group that is creating its identity from scratch yet again. Max Changmin calmly discussed these points that others may have been hurt to hear about. And in that calmness, he is nurturing his competitiveness. He knows he is lacking in his dancing skills, so he works on it like a madman. He is nurturing his competitiveness to ânever regress and nurture my promising skills whenever I start something.â The youngest who had always smiled is now starting to let his voice be heard, and he objectively looks back on his teamâs progression and thinks of what will come next. He says he keeps moving forward with the thought that âThere must be something more to comeâ, and it sounds more like a spell he places on himself rather than a mere wish. So many things have happened, but there must still be something more to come. For TVXQ. For Max Changmin.
âI fell for Choreographer Tony Testaâs complimentsâ
– With regards to widening the spectrum, the performance of âCatch Meâ begins with the two of you facing each other like a mirror, battling it out and then expanding to include the dancers. You must have had to put in a lot of effort to go one on one with U-Know Yunho, whose biggest strength is in dancing?
Max Changmin: Because everything was a new challenge, from the choreography to the song itself, I think I took on everything with more âdeterminationâ than usual. Yunho is such a good performer to begin with and the âCatch Meâ choreography is about seeing another side of myself, so I was worried that the quality of the performance would be damaged if one person fell behind. Iâm not someone who has a lot of confidence about my dancing, but Choreographer Tony Testa kept complimenting me over and over again. I fell for his sweet talk of, âMax, youâre really great. You have talent. Have confidence in yourself.â (laughter)
– If âCatch Meâ is a performance with a perfect concept, âHumanoidsâ feels like itâs less intense and more relaxed within a generalized style of choreography.
Max Changmin: Tony Testa had to express the rage against a lover who is trying to leave with his âCatch Meâ choreography so I thought, âAh. We must be the only people this guy is doing this to.â (laughter) But then I saw Jong Hyunâs expression in SHINeeâs âSherlockâ and I could see that he had asked Jong Hyun to show intense emotions on his face as well. On the other hand, I felt like I could be more relaxed and enjoy dancing to âHumanoidsâ.
– âHow are youâ focuses on the two peopleâs harmony, while songs like âdestinyâ and âgetawayâ utilize your vocal talents to the extreme. How was it recording an album as you increased your responsibilities as a vocalist and took on a new challenge?
Max Changmin: In the past, we were given parts that really fit our vocal range from the part-division process, and I was usually in charge of what people call the âscreamingâ part of the songs. But now that itâs just the two of us, if we donât expand the range we can take on, people will look at us and think, âAs expected, they canât do it with just two people,â so we worked really hard on that. People around me tell me to take care of my throat and they tell me not to push it too far because Iâll have a hard time when I get older, but thankfully, Iâm still okay. I think Iâve discovered my own techniques, and I think weâre able to carry a song from the beginning to the end better than before. Though that may be a cocky thought⌠(laughter)
– Though you were probably stimulated by your competitiveness, there must have been a fundamental change that took place?
Max Changmin: I thought to myself that I needed to do really well during the promotions of our last album, and I think for this album, I was more sincere with the recording process than Iâve ever been before. But that doesnât mean that the pressure has increased. Producer Lee Soo Man said, âYou shouldnât strain yourself for your songs.â I think this applies to anything, though I didnât know that in the past. So Iâm more sincere about my songs these days, but I try to enjoy the whole process.
âI really hate âfeeling inferiorâ.â
– It feels as though you look back at, not only yourself, but the past and present of TVXQ, in an objective perspective in order to face what comes next. TVXQ is a team that has always had its own unique color with a passionate, large-scale fandom behind it and youâre currently in the process of remaking that color. What do you worry about as a person in the center of such changes?
Max Changmin: Songs like âO-Jung.Ban.Hapâ in the past or last yearâs âWhyâ were ones that our fans liked more than the public. Thereâs always been a distance thatâs stopped us from getting close to the public, so not only did we change our music, but we also appeared in variety programs to create more opportunities to interact with the public. If we get stuck in the mindset that âWeâre this kind of group, so we should do thisâ, weâll fall into mannerisms. We have to keep accepting the changes in the flow of music if we donât want to be static.
– Could you say that your individual activities, including your role in the Japanese movie âRun With the Goldâ, are a part of your efforts to appeal to the masses?
Max Changmin: I believe that Yunho and I have to shine brighter as individuals to create a synergy effect that pulls the team forward. And though weâre a group thatâs known for our performances, it would be hard for us to keep performing at the intensity we pursue right now forever. As our bodies age, weâll be less able to perform at that level. (laughter) I think a natural change will come about our activities as we go through that process.
– During your interview for âRun With the Goldâ, you said, âIâve done a lot of things as a member of the TVXQ team for the past eight years, but I learned so much by working with such great actors.â What was it like to go from working with TVXQ members youâve done everything with for years, as well as familiar staff members, to working on something youâve never done before with people who speak a different language?
Max Changmin:If I had known from the start how hard it was going to be, I probably wouldnât have done it. (laughter) Because the filming schedule clashed with our live tour schedule, I had to go back and forth from the filming set to the concert venue and it was hard for me to accept the two worlds, that were completely different from each other, into my life. And because I was with actors and staff who were working so hard and giving their all for the movie, I was worried that even if I tried my best, the end result wouldnât be as good as it should be. But I think what helped was my personality to never regress and nurture my promising skills whenever I start something.
– Looking back at your transformation from when you made your debut to where you are now, it feels like you enjoy the process of running headlong into things and progressing.
Max Changmin: Whatâs quite strange is that from the beginning, Iâve never had the dream of âI want to be a singer who sings this kind of musicâ or âI want to be an actor who does that kind of actingâ. Back when it hadnât been long since my debut, everyone else had a dream so I used to believe that I was wrong for thinking that way. Even now, I donât have an ultimate goal. But to use a common phrase to describe my personality, I really hate âfeeling inferiorâ. (laughter) I find joy in the thought that today is always better than yesterday, and I want to keep moving forward.
– Youâre only 24 but youâve already accomplished so many things as a member of TVXQ, and youâre going to be the first Korean singer to hold a five-leg Dome tour in Japan. What lies ahead of you after this?
Max Changmin: I havenât really thought about what I should do next. But I have a vague anticipation that when we finish our Dome tour, there will be a bigger stage waiting for us, and there will be a new world that we havenât experienced yet. That anticipation of âThere must be something more to comeâ is what has kept me moving forward till now.

These visuals aren’t surprising or shocking, just disturbing. If anyone was going here it would be Jaejoong. Lots of interpretive imagery. I am curious to see where the visuals lead–hopefully to a positive outcome. Truthfully, I’m interested in hearing the vocals in full and reading the lyrics. Since this song is a collaboration with Kim Bada is it a partial reflection? I am happy that Jaejoong is getting a chance to express what he feels inside because that is a healthy therapy.  I Love You, Jae.
