JYJ, a popular K-pop group, sold half their concert tickets within half an hour. They will be performing in Lima, the capital of Peru, on 11 March.
Perhaps before you read this article, you would be wondering about two things, who is JYJ, and what is this K-pop that they represent. Without being mentioned on the radio, and never having appeared on television programs such as MTV, and their albums are not sold in Peru. Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, Korean names that are hard for us to pronounce, have created a new record in our country. Their fans created a record of buying half the total number of tickets within 30 minutes for this concert which will be held at Estadio Monumental on 11 March.
According to Carlos Huamán, one of the people who made this concert happen, two of the ticket categories was sold out within the first day.
It is expected that a crowd of 10,000 will be mobilized for the JYJ concert, and this is a historical moment for fans of K-pop, a leading representative of Asian pop culture.
Another noteworthy point is that they will be arriving in Lima on 10 March, and will hold their concert immediately after that.
Data : The previous record for fastest selling tickets was held by the Jonas Brothers in 2009 when tickets for their first show sold out in 5 days.

Park Yoochun has been selected as the male lead for the new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Prince of the Rooftop House” and concrete details on dates and the signing of the actual contract is expected to be completed by this weekend. “Prince of the Rooftop House” is a romantic comedy about a prince from the Chosun era who lost his wife during a war, and travels through time to the modern world to look for love. This role is said to have been created with Park Yoochun in mind even from the planning stages.
Member Kim Jaejoong’s acting activities are easily comparable to Park Yoochun’s. He made his debut last year in SBS’s “Protect the Boss,” and has also received requests to appear in 2-3 dramas, and these have been put up for review and planning as part of his schedule for the first half part of this year.
While Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong focus on the silver screen, member Kim Junsu pulls the attention of the masses to the musical industry. Kim Junsu will be meeting the fans via “Elisabeth,” which will be playing in Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Seoul starting from 8 February. He has been working hard daily in preparation for this first performance since the start of December last year.
These 3 men who are will be active in the drama and musical industries will be coming together as JYJ in March for the South American concert tours. A representative of JYJ has asserted that member Junsu is not involved in hotel construction plans for Jeju Island.
Various reports have been going around stating that Junsu is on his way to becoming an entrepreneur by constructing a hotel in Jeju Island.
The representative explained that those reports are false.
While the plans are coming from Junsu’s father, Junsu himself is not directly involved. “Junsu has no relations to his father’s plans on opening a hotel business in Jeju Island,” they said. “This entrepreneurial plan is under Junsu’s father, not Junsu himself.”
They continued, “Junsu barely has enough time to keep up with his main career as an entertainer.”
Aside from his work with JYJ, Junsu is preparing for his upcoming musical “Elizabeth“, which is scheduled to begin on February 8th. Since Junsu is required to exude a masculine image on stage, he has been spending his days in the gym and nights working on music.

Female students would come in a small group to the pharmacy and always saying that they wanted to buy a whole box of Penzal Q, further asking, “Can you please give us the JYJ poster?” Sadly the pharmacy has only one poster and thus unable to give it to them. However after that, other female students still came asking for the poster. These incidents happened a lot of times.
Pharmacist Kim said, “I made a call to Chong Geun Dang (Pharmaceutical) relating about the high occurence of female students asking for the poster and from there that I knew that this situation happened nationwide.”
It is the first time that Penzal Q of Chong Geun Dang Pharmaceutical invited idols as their endorser. Since the broadcast of the CF in October last year till now, the attention received from everyone towards this product was rather obvious.
During this period of time, Chong Geun Dang Pharmaceutical who has been revamping their old image, has tried changing their endorsers and the images on their packagings. On the 12th, a photo of Park Yoochun, who is currently endorsing Ottogi’s new product, “GisMyun”, was uploaded on Ottogi’s official Facebook page.
The photos revealed show Park Yoochun dressed in a Hanbok with purple Paji (T/N: traditional pants) and a sky blue Cheogori (T/N: traditional shirt/coat), with his hands held together, and showing a flower-like smile.
