JYJâs Kim Junsu has proved yet again that he has unbeatable ticket power by selling out all 32,000 seats for his Seoul and Busan concerts.
According to Kim Junsuâs agency C-JeS Entertainment, all 18,000 seats of XIA Junsuâs Seoul concerts sold out last week and all 14,000 seats of his Busan concert, for which ticket reservations began yesterday, have sold out as well.
Kim Junsu also sold out all 20,000 seats for his nine Elisabeth performances in August, meaning that he has managed to attract a total of 50,000 people to his events in the month of August.
Regarding this, a representative of the ticket reservation site in charge said, âItâs amazing enough that he managed to sell all his tickets in August, the off-season for musicals, but to hear that he has sold out his concerts in Seoul and Busan as well, which are set a week apart, shows just how powerful Kim Junsu is when it comes to selling tickets.â
Meanwhile, Kim Junsu held a showcase on the 15th to commemorate the release of his second solo album, and will begin his Asia Tour on the 20th in Thailand.

Kim Junsu (XIA) is at the center of the spotlight for revealing the process behind the creation of his song âIsnât This Song Funnyâ.
Kim Junsu held a showcase at the UNIQLO AX Hall on the 15th to commemorate the release of his second solo album âIncredibleâ.
During the press conference that was held after the showcase, Kim Junsu talked about his song âIsnât This Song Funnyâ and had everyone laughing when he said, âThe song was done and all it needed was a title. But I found that nothing really worked as well as âIsnât This Song Funnyâ. The staff members were at a loss for words when I told them about how I had chosen the title of the song.â
He continued to say, âWhen I was writing the lyrics, I tried to express what I had always wanted to say in a funny way. I left out any heavy material like love stories and looked back on things I had written on my Twitter account for my inspiration,â and âItâs a song that I wrote as a present to my fans.â
He smiled and said, âItâs supposed to be a bonus track so I was surprised to see how popular it is.â
Netizens who heard this left comments such as, âIsnât This Song Funny, even the behind-the-scenes story is funnyâ, âIsnât This Song Funny, the bonus tracks are always the jewel in any album,â and âKim Junsu must not like writing about serious things.â
Meanwhile, âIsnât This Song Funnyâ has been drawing much attention for expressing the various happenings that Kim Junsu faced as a solo singer. A more fun and exciting aspect has been added with Boomâs narration.

XIA (Junsu) has returned with an album full of challenges.
IA (Kim Junsu) held a showcase at the UNIQLO AX Hall on the 15th to commemorate the release of his second solo album âIncredibleâ.
Itâs been a year since he last made an appearance as solo singer âXIAâ, and not a member of JYJ. Although he has been busy as a musical actor, he put all his effort into preparing his latest album, and did not disappoint fans as he has come back as a more mature singer.
During the press conference that was held after the showcase, Kim Junsu said, âI tried to put as many different genres as possible in this album. I only started choosing songs after I decided which genres I wanted in my album, and I paid much more attention in my song selection process this year.â
His vocal skills have changed drastically as well. Regarding this, Kim Junsu said, âI canât say that my time as a musical actor hasnât influenced the way I sing at all, but I tried very hard to find the perfect balance. I tried to find what worked best for each song, and applied that to my music, â and âI left it up to the feel of the song.â
Kim Junsu emphasized, âThis album was a great challenge for me. I wanted to discover a new side of me through this album.â
He expressed his hesitation of filling the majority of the album with his own compositions. He said, âWhen artistes compose their own music, the good thing is that they are able to put all of their strengths into one song. But you might also get yourself stuck in one mould,â and âAlthough I try to branch out when I write music, the quality of my album might drop if I become too greedy about writing and singing my own songs. I focused most on choosing the best songs.â
The showcase that was held on the same day was aired live on MelonTV. Kim Junsu performed a total of four songs, âTarantallegraâ, â11 oâclockâ, âIâm Sorryâ and âIncredibleâ, to perfect his successful comeback.
Starting on the 20th in Bangkok, Thailand, Kim Junsu will set off on his world tour that will take him to Shanghai, China on the 20th, Seoul on the 3rd and 4th of August, and Busan on the 10th and 11th of August.

His second solo album showcase.. A Summer dance track âIncredibleâ
JYJâs Kim Junsu (XIA, 26) has come back with his technicolor second solo album âIncredibleâ.
Kim Junsu held a showcase for 1,200 fans at the UNIQLO AX Hall in Seoul on the 15th. The dayâs event was aired live through Melon and LoenTV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sa351v9k4g).
Having released his new album on various online music sites and iTunes, Kim Junsu performed a total of four songs, âTarantallegraâ from his first album, and â11 oâclockâ, âIâm Sorryâ, and âIncredibleâ from the second album.
Appearing on a throne, the singer exuded an air of confidence and charisma for his rendition of âTarantallegraâ.He continued to sing â11 oâclockâ a capella, till he was joined by a piano halfway through. âIâm Sorryâ, which is a traditional ballad, captivated his fans with his husky voice.
Last of all, Kim Junsu walked on stage wearing the red jacket he donned in his music video and was joined by his neon-clad dance crew. He performed âIncredibleâ for the first time, showing off his perfect live skills, unmarred by a difficult choreography. The song has a fun melody and strong beat, and showcases Kim Junsuâs powerful performance capabilities. As a collaboration with composer Automatic, who Kim Junsu worked with for his US single âUncommittedâ, âIncredibleâ features a rap segment from Puff Daddyâs son Quincy Brown.
The music video was shot in a house in Malibu and is as refreshing as the song itself. When fans honed in on the kiss scene in the music video, Kim Junsu feigned ignorance as he said, âOh, the kiss scene. Was that included?â He had everyone laughing as he said, âI just pretended to kiss her. I took on the âAmerican mindsetâ. Whether it actually happened or not is up to your imagination. Then again, this is all just businessâŚâ
During the press conference that was held after the showcase, Kim Junsu said, âThis is the first time in nearly four years that I stood in front of a camera (for a broadcasted show). Although it wasnât on TV, it was still a broadcasted program and it was fun and exciting. I had a great time.â Kim Junsu has been unable to appear on broadcasted programs in the past due to his legal dispute with his former agency SM Entertainment.
Kim Junsuâs second album features a total of 12 tracks, including the pre-released track â11 oâclockâ. Kim Junsu participated in the composing, lyric writing and producing process of the album and showcased his maturity as a singer.
His second album features a variety of genres including dance, ballad, electronic, funk, neo-soul, R&B and acoustic. C-JeS Entertainment stated, âThe composers who participated in this album all praised Kim Junsu for his musical abilities and value as a vocalist.â
Kim Junsu will be kicking off his Asia Tour with the release of his new album. Staring in Bangkok, Thailand on the 20th, he will hold concerts in Shanghai (28th), Seoul (August 3rd~4th), and Busan (10th, 11th).

Junsu’s new Music Video is active and challenging dance and imagery…Â Please invest in Junsu and buy this album.
This album has a lot of hip hop, jazz and R&BÂ influence. The ballads are soulful and beautiful. There are also some retro elements here. To be honest, the genres are all over the map. This is a definite leap and a new approach. It takes time to absorb. Great Job June!!! đ <3

Girl group Tahitiâs representatives have released an official apology regarding their use of the intro of JYJâs hit song âMissionâ without permission.
In a phone conversation with MyDaily, a representative of Tahitiâs agency Dream Star Entertainment said, âWe received an official statement from JYJâs agency and sent them an official apology. Though it wasnât intentional, it was still wrong of us to not be more thorough in checking the source of the song. We will make sure that incidents like this will not happen again.â
Tahiti used the intro of âMissionâ for their performances in Cambodia in March and at Hongik University in May, which was picked up by JYJ fans and uncovered that the song had been used without any permission.
The representative from Tahitiâs agency added, âWe used the intro at the suggestion of a person who had worked on JYJâs concerts. He told us that it was okay to use the music, so we didnât think it would be an issue. We should have been more thorough in our background research, so weâre very sorry.â
Regarding this, JYJâs agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, âWe brought up the issue through an official statement to the entertainment agency in charge to retrieve the rights of our artistes, but we have decided not to take any legal action because it was not intentional. We are just waiting for a response from them instead. We would like for this to be an opportunity for everyone involved to learn the value of copyright laws.â

But what does this mean????
(Junsu, 5:28pm KST) ha
Child is bored. Tweets a lot. GOOD.
(Junsu, 5:52pm KST) Yesterday⌠I got bored after wrapping up our schedule, so I played catch with Yoochun and Jaejoong. There werenât any left-handed gloves so I just threw while our managers caught the ball. Jaejoongâs right-handed so he caught the ball as well⌠and he surprised me by being so good at it. People stared at us in surprise and curiosity.. It must be that playing catch is very rare in Europe..
(Junsu, 5:55pm KST) Since coming to Chamonix.. should I call them products of modern civilization.. or should I call it culture.. I havenât encountered it at all.. Weâve just been seeing mountains.. and lakes, and I just walk around.. and sleep. Itâs nice to have such a repetitive lifestyle at times.. But three days have passed, and Iâm bored. Iâm even tweeting.. I must be really bored right now.
(Junsu, 6:05pm KST) Iâm.. quite special because Iâm only right-handed when I write, and left-handed for everything else.. Everything is so difficult when I use my right hand.. Iâm a perfect left-handed person.. Yoochunâs also a left-handed person.. but he plays golf with his right hand.. When I asked him how thatâs possible, he said it just happens.. Amazing, isnât it? âŚ. He must be  ambidextrous.
(Junsu, 6:35pm KST) Mont Blanc today, but Korea tomorrow..
(Junsu, 6:41pm KST) Junsu~ I like the movements youâve changed slightly for The Last Dance~ Like the part where Elisabeth moves as though Tod is controlling her. When we were doing a run-through yesterday, I told the people in EMK that the dramatic explanation becomes more heightened in that moment ă I just received this KakaoTalk message from Ok Elisabeth just now.. lol

Using the intro of âMissionâ at overseas concerts and college festivals
Girl group Tahiti has been embroiled in a controversy of using a song without permission.
JYJ fans began making the claim that Tahiti has been using the intro of JYJâs hit song âMissionâ without their permission. The fans brought up a problematic YouTube video that shows Tahiti performing their song âHasta Luegoâ at a festival in Hongik University.
The issue is that the intro of the performance uses the intro of âMissionâ. Park Yoochunâs voice saying âjust pull it offâ can be heard in the middle of their performance as well. After their performance, Tahiti stated in an interview with the MC that, âThis intro is a special one that we only use during our overseas performances, but we decided to use it today because weâre at Hongik University.â
In a video of Tahiti performing in Cambodia in March, JYJâs âMissionâ can be heard as the intro of âHasta Luegoâ.
Fans raised the issue with the entertainment agencies of both groups, and one fan posted an apology e-mail that they received from a representative of Dream Star Entertainment, the agency in charge of Tahiti.
The e-mail says, âWe would like to apologize to the fans,â and âWe decided to use the music as our intro at the suggestion of a concert representative during one of our overseas concerts.â
It also says, âWe found out that the music had been reused due to the inattention of their manager,â and âDisciplinary action has been taken against the manager, and the music file has been terminated.â
Fans who read the e-mail said, âThey shouldnât send an individual e-mail like that; they should provide us with an official apologyâ, âI didnât say anything at first because I assumed they had paid royalties before using the song, but the fact that the entertainment agency apologized shows that they used it without permission,â and âEven if the music was used at the suggestion of a concert representative, shouldnât you have checked before using JYJâs song, especially a composition by one of the members?â
Dream Star Entertainment stated in a phone conversation with CBS NoCut News that, âWe didnât know it was a JYJ song,â and âWe said that it would be nice to have an intro to the concert, and one of the concertâs representatives, who had been the head of JYJâs concert business team, brought the music to us and we began using it from Tahitiâs Philippine performance.â
The agency continued to add, âIt should have ended as a one-time happening, but we kept using it for the Cambodia and Hongik University performances,â and âIf we had known it was a JYJ song, we wouldnât have used it.â
A representative of JYJâs agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, âWe contacted the Korea Music Copyright Association and found out that they used the song without permission,â and âWe have no idea who they are talking about when they bring up the concert business team representative.â
They continued to add, âBut as their actions were unintentional, we will send them an official statement and take the proper actions against this violation that took place between two companies.â
JYJâs âMissionâ was released in their 2011 album âIn Heavenâ and was composed by Kim Junsu and had lyrics written by his brother JUNO.

Loenâs nullification of promotional marketing strategies for Kim Junsuâs latest album has become a controversy.
Through an official letter of plea on the 9th of July, C-JeS Entertainment stated, âOn the 8th of July, six days till the release of XIA (Junsu)âs second solo album, we received a unilateral notification from the albumâs distribution company Loen Entertainment.â
According to C-JeS, Loen has cancelled all verbal agreements made in the past two months, and unilaterally notified the agency that they would still distribute the album online and offline, but would nullify all other promotional marketing strategies. The crux of the controversy is the broadcast of the singerâs showcase, which is set to be attended by Melon users, on MelonTV. Loen is said to have notified C-JeS that the event would be broadcasted live on LoenTV, but would be impossible to disclose on Melon.
To Newsen, Loen made a clarification and stated, âRegarding Kim Junsuâs showcase, C-JeS and Loen had not yet completed and signed a contract. This problem has arisen in the final stages of discussions between the two parties.â
They continued to reveal, âMany statements conditions and requests have been said between the two parties in the discussion process of the contract. C-JeS poster their letter of plea in the middle so such a process, and their statement that Loen unilaterally notified C-JeS of the nullification of promotional marketing strategies is completely false. A final decision on the contract hadnât even been made yet.â
Regarding this, a representative of C-JeS Entertainment refuted, âAfter receiving a sudden notification on the 8th, six days before the showcase, we sent Loen an official statement outlining our stance. We clearly stated that we would release a letter of plea to the public if Loen did not give us a reply. However, we were met with silence. Loenâs representatives keep saying that we were still in the discussion process and had yet to sign a contract, but they had already taken reservations for the album and had already begun receiving applicants for their showcase event. If we had not come to a decision, then wouldnât it have been right to wait till we had before they went through these processes?â
Regarding the problematic showcase controversy, Loen stated, âIf we had really nullified our promotional marketing strategies as C-JeS claims, information regarding Junsuâs showcase and its related eventâs page would have been taken down from Melonâs homepage, but as netizens can see, the page is still open and fully functioning. The list of people who are chosen to attend the showcase will be released on Thursday (July 11th) as planned.â
However, Kim Junsuâs representatives stated, âKim Junsu has a packed schedule planned, which includes going overseas to film a CF, as well as a concert in Thailand. However, the reason why we decided to hold this showcase was to introduce Kim Junsuâs music to the public. We prepared this free-of-charge showcase because we wanted to show Kim Junsuâs performance to the public through MelonTV because broadcasted activities are difficult for us.â
They also added, âThis is a showcase our agency is paying for, but if it cannot be aired on MelonTV, there is no reason for the showcase to only be open to Melon users. We have requested a reply to this from Loen by tonight (July 9th). If this problem is not resolved by then, our agency will take the initiative to invite fans ourselves, and it would only be right for the Melon users event to be cancelled.â
