Kim Jaejoong, who is currently active as a solo singer and a member of JYJ, drew the attention of many when he attended the launching party of Moldir on the 24th as the brand’s art director. He has participated in designing the brand’s bags.

Proving his power as part of a group and as a solo singer, the star has also made his mark in the drama industry through productions like ‘Dr. Jin’ and ‘Protect the Boss’. With a new job of acting as the designer of Moldir’s bags, Kim Jaejoong has proven that he is a multi-talented star. He has become a visionary model for other idol stars.

Since releasing his solo album, Kim Jaejoong has greeted a total of 100,000 fans in the Japanese leg of his Asia tour, which took him to Yokohama, Osaka and Nagoya.

A fanmade teaser for SBS’ new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Three Days’ was recently uploaded.

As the drama scheduled to air after ‘You, Who Came From The Stars’ on the 26th of February, ‘Three Days’ is a mystery suspense and melodrama that depicts the story of a bodyguard doing his best to find the president, who mysteriously disappears with three gunshots fired. With a fanmade poster recently released, a teaser has also been created.

A 1 minute and 16 second-long fanmade teaser video was recently uploaded on YouTube (http://youtu.be/bV1G-dbLkLU), and has been met with an explosive response from fans.

Scenes from ‘I Miss You’ were used for Park Yoochun (Blue House bodyguard Han Tae Kyung), scenes from ‘Golden Empire’ were used for Sohn Hyun Joo (President Lee Dong Hwee), scenes of ‘Two Weeks’ were used for Park Ha Sun (Policewoman Yoon Bo Won) and scenes from ‘Who Are You’ were used for Soh Yi Hyeon (Blue House bodyguard Lee Cha Young).

Scenes from ‘The King Two Hearts’ and ‘Heirs’ were used for Yoon Jae Moon and Choi Won Young respectively (Blue House chief secretary Shin Kyu Jin and Jaeshin Group’s Kim Do Jin), while scenes from ‘Good Morning President’ were used to make the video even more realistic.

With an introduction of both the director and screenwriter, as well as subtitles that said, ‘The President goes to his townhouse for a vacation’, ‘He disappears with three shots fired’, the teaser video looked real enough to receive the stamp of approval from fans.

The video has gathered 18,000 videos till today, and is quickly spreading. Netizens left positive comments like, “I can’t wait for this drama.”

SBS stated, “‘Three Days’ is probably the only drama that has fanmade posters and teaser videos created so early,” and “We would like to sincerely thank the netizens who created these, and we hope that their efforts help spread interest in the drama.

Meanwhile, ‘Three Days’ will bring together screenwriter Kim Eun Hee and director Shin Kyung Soo, and air every Wednesday and Thursday at 10pm from the 26th of February.

Sohn Ho Joon opened up about his friendship with U-Know Yunho.

During the episode of tvN’s ‘Taxi – Reply 1994 Special’ that aired on the 23rd of January, Sohn Ho Joon appeared as a special guest with Do Hee and Baro, and opened up about his famous friendship with U-Know Yunho.

Sohn Ho Joon said, “Yunho used to go to school with a junior I was close to. Back when Yunho was having a hard time, I used to get an allowance from my parents. When I used to come to Seoul, I would give Yunho any money I had left. After Yunho became a member of TVXQ, he took care of me really well.”

He continued to add, “People say we have a great friendship, but he’s actually like family to me. He checks on all the articles written about me, and sends them to me in the morning. We just seem to click. We’re friends bonded by loyalty.”

Sohn Ho Joon also revealed, “I was able to start my broadcasted work because Yunho introduced me to a manager,” and talked about his days as a MC with Byun Jung Min, as well as his participation in the project group Tachyon.

‘Three Days’ is an action-genre drama that depicts the disappearance of the president while he is resting in his townhouse.

In the drama, Park Yoochun plays the role of the president’s bodyguard who is being chased because of a false charge made against him. His quick wits and body movements propel him towards an explanation for his predicament. As an athletic character who is fluent in a variety of martial arts, Han Tae Kyung will help Park Yoochun make a successful transformation into an action-genre actor. It has been revealed that the star has been receiving special lessons from bodyguards of the Blue House to learn their stance and job specifics.

One representative of the drama stated, “It’s a character that hasn’t been seen often in Korean dramas,” and “He’s not just a bodyguard, he’s a character with abilities that surpass that of a secret service agent.” As a 16-episode drama that follows an event that takes place across three days, a variety of details and specifics is expected to create a high level of tension and excitement for viewers.

Meanwhile, Park Yoochun’s popularity is helping the drama become the focus of attention for overseas markets. Broadcasting rights for the drama have already been sold in China on the basis that it will be a drama that features Park Yoochun.

C-JeS Entertainment stated, “From the 22nd, Kim Jaejoong will be holding concerts at the Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan for two days. All 16,000 tickets that were released in the first round of ticket reservations were sold out in an instant, as well as the additional 2,000 seats that were released later, proving yet again just how popular the singer is in Japan. Kim Jaejoong will be meeting with a total of 18,000 Japanese fans across two days.”

 

Kim Jaejoong released his first repackaged album ‘WWW Removing One’s Makeup’ on the 20th and featured two new tracks, ‘Heaven’ and ‘Makeup’. Kim Jaejoong wrote the lyrics for both songs, and was praised by the composer he’s worked with so far, who said he had the god-given talent that was needed for the latest album.

Since releasing his first full-length album, Kim Jaejoong has performed in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and China for his Asia tour, and this will be his third Japanese city following Yokohama and Osaka. Kim Jaejoong met with 60,000 fans at sold-out Yokohama Stadium concerts in November, as well as 22,000 fans in Osaka. The singer is set to meet with a whopping 100,000 fans in Japan alone for his Asia tour.

 

Meanwhile , Kim Jaejoong will return to Korea after his Nagoya concerts to hold his ’2014 Kim Jaejoong 1st album Asia Tour Concert & J Party’ concerts on the 25th and 26th of January.

Mnet announced on the 22nd that Max Changmin has been chosen as the leading role for ‘MiMi’ their upcoming ghost romance drama that has a total of four episodes.

Max Changmin, who has been reaping in great success both as a musician, with ‘Something’ dominating major music shows, and as an entertainer on his variety show, is set to transform into a webtoon artist who holds the pain of his lost first love in his heart.

‘MiMi’ is a drama that depicts the beautiful but sorrowed first love story between two people whose fates have been altered. Max Changmin will play the role of the handsome and popular webtoon artist ‘Minwoo’, who sets out to find his first love once more.

The singer will be playing two roles, one being the present-day Minwoo, a charismatic, 28-year-old webtoon artist who holds on to the pain of a first love he can’t remember, and the other being Minwoo in the past, when he was an 18-year-old high school student.

Minwoo is not only handsome, but he is also a talented and popular webtoon artist. He finds a post-it note on his calendar one day, which leads him to create a new webtoon called ‘December 8th’.

The webtoon becomes immensely popular from the start, but Minwoo begins to feel the pressure of his work, developing strange headaches. He then decides to search out his first love from ten years ago.

Max Changmin said, “It wasn’t easy to act out two versions of the same person as they have such different memories and emotions, but I’m enjoying the process,” and “Because the story revolves around the theme of one’s first love, something everyone can relate to, I hope a lot of people tune in to watch.”

Mnet’s ‘MiMi’ will begin airing at 11pm on the 21st of February and will air every Friday for four weeks.

The value of SBS’ new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Three Days’, which features Park Yoochun as its leading role, is experiencing a sharp increase.

It is set to be exported to China at the highest price yet, even beating out SBS’ ‘You, Who Came From The Stars’, the drama that features a star-studded cast of Jeon Ji Hyun, Kim Soo Hyun and Park Hae Jin, and recently became a hot topic for becoming the Korea drama that was exported to China at the highest price.

A representative of SBS stated, “SBS’ Wednesday-Thursday dramas ‘Heirs’ and ‘You, Who Came From The Stars’ have both become a huge hit in China, shifting the focus to ‘Three Days’, which is set to air right after ‘You, Who Came From The Stars’ ends. The value of each episode has recently skyrocketed to 35,000 dollars (approximately 37 million Won).” Considering the fact that the average value per episode is 5 million Won for Korean dramas in China, ‘Three Days’ is set to earn 7 times the average amount.

China is considering to be one of the biggest markets for the Hallyu Wave, other than Japan. However, broadcasting rights are sold at much lower costs than in Japan, where dramas fetch up to 100 million Won per episode, and there is a quarterly restriction on foreign dramas broadcasted in China. But the power of Hallyu stars like Lee Minho, Park Yoochun, Jang Geun Seok and Park Haejin is helping to raise the value of dramas, reflecting a change in the market. The SBS representative stated, “Though the price of exports is still much lower than in Japan, China is a market with great potential. It will be extremely encouraging if ‘Three Days’ is able to break the record of ‘You, Who Came From The Stars’.”

‘Three Days’ is a story of the president mysteriously disappearing from his residence, and his secret service struggling to find him. The drama brings together screenwriter Kim Eun Hee and PD Shin Kyung Soo, and will feature a cast of Park Yoochun, Sohn Hyun Joo, Park Ha Sun, Yoon Jae Moon, Soh Yi Hyun and Jang Hyun Sung.
