[TRANS] 121128 Will The Doors Of Broadcasting Companies Open For JYJ? “Discussions Are Needed”

Will the doors of broadcasting companies open for JYJ, who have been locked in a legal battle with their former agency SM Entertainment?

Following the announcement on the 28th that SM Entertainment and JYJ reached an agreement after three years locked in a legal battle, many are curious to see if this will lead to an appearance in broadcasted TV shows by JYJ.

According to legal circles, SM and the three members of JYJ reached an agreement that all contracts signed by the two parties had effectively ended on the 31st of July, 2009. All relevant lawsuits were to be dropped, and neither party would interfere with the opposite party’s future activities.

With the end of the lawsuit, new possibilities have opened up for the three members of JYJ in the entertainment industry. When JYJ began their individual activities, they weren’t able to appear on TV shows run by the three main broadcasting companies due to their lawsuit with SM. Though Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong have been making appearances on TV through dramas, they have not been able to appear on music programs or awards shows since releasing their albums.

For example, in May of 2011, KBS explained the reason why JYJ were not to appear on variety shows such as ‘Music Bank’ when they stated, “JYJ’s lawsuit has not ended with their former agency. It is normal for us to wait and refrain from casting celebrities who are locked in legal battles, as their appearance on TV shows may influence the results of their lawsuits.”

Now that an agreement has ended the lawsuit, the spotlight has shifted to the three main broadcasting companies. Many are curious to see if the end of the lawsuit that has freed JYJ from restrictions will give them the chance to appear on music programs or variety shows.

Regarding this, Jeon Jin Guk, the director of KBS’ variety sector, stated in a phone conversation with OSEN that, “We heard the news through an article. I believe the details of our stance on the issue will be solidified through further discussion,” and “I don’t believe there will be any reason for us to refrain from allowing JYJ to appear on KBS TV shows if their lawsuit has come to a complete end, as that was the reason for our actions.”

MBC’s Won Mak Sik stated, “Though the lawsuit between the two parties has ended, we believe it is a problem that requires time to observe the situation.” Another representative of MBC’s variety sector explained, “We have not yet discussed the possibilities of JYJ appearing on music programs and variety shows,” and “This is an issue that must be considered by the entire variety sector.”

PD Park Seung Min of SBS’ ‘Inkigayo’ gave a short statement of, “This is an issue for the entire variety sector to discuss. I can’t say much because there hasn’t been any discussion as of now.”

During an interview with MyDaily recently, Kim Jaejoong left the message “Congratulations to MyDaily On Your 8th Anniversary” with his signature.

Kim Jaejoong’s debut movie ‘Jackal Is Coming’ recently made its debut. Making an appearance as the popular star Choi Hyun, Kim Jaejoong showcased his passion and fighting spirit as a rookie movie star by doing anything and everything for his role.

Regarding this, Kim Jaejoong stated, “I didn’t feel embarrassed by the notion of doing anything for the movie, and because I worked hard for my role, I felt like I shouldn’t. Because I went in with that mindset, I didn’t think too much of it. Though I was a little worried about wrecking my image, I wasn’t too concerned.”

He also revealed his methods of self-mind control by saying, “No matter how hard it is now, I feel better when I think about the future. I relieve my stress by looking back at how much I’ve grown over time and how much I’ve gained through the process.”

Junsu revealed JYJ’s plans of releasing a new album.

On December 29, a day before his exclusive concert at the Turinenhalle in Oberhausen, Germany, Junsu held a press conference at a hotel. During the press conference, Junsu revealed that JYJ is aiming to release a new album next year.

Regarding the questions about JYJ’s plans of a new album, Junsu stated, “It’s certain that JYJ’s new album will be released next year. It will be around mid-year. We will keep to our own schedules for the first half of next year and appear as JYJ after mid-next year.”

Junsu, who performed in Germany once before his exclusive concert stated, “Last time I was on stage as a member of JYJ but this time I will be performing as a solo artist. This concert will be my last performance as a solo artist so I want to make sure I don’t have any regrets.”

JYJ’s Kim Junsu recently opened up about his group’s exclusive contract nullification lawsuit.

Kim Junsu met with reporters on the 29th at a hotel in Essen, Germany and when asked about the possibilities of TVXQ getting back together now that JYJ’s lawsuit with their former agency SM Entertainment has ended after three years and four months, he stated, “I lament the fact that I’m not able to introduce myself as a member of TVXQ.” Though it wasn’t a direct answer, it seems as though even he sees the chances of TVXQ getting back together again to be low.

Kim Junsu stated, “I, too, find this situation to be unfortunate because I entered the entertainment industry and started out as a singer through TVXQ,” and “Though the situation is unfortunate and regrettable, the title of ‘TVXQ’ will always remain in my heart and I believe that other people, and not only myself, will remember and never forget the five years that I performed as a member of TVXQ.”

He continued to add, “Nothing will ever be as memorable and fill me with joy than if I could stand on stage again as ‘TVXQ’ one day.”

 

Kim Junsu didn’t hide his affection for TVXQ as he said, “We were fighting a battle against our company (SM Entertainment) and their unlawful practices; it wasn’t that we wanted to throw away our title of ‘TVXQ’ or leave ‘TVXQ’.”

He feels the same way about the name that introduced him to the world, ‘Xiah’. Kim Junsu stated, “When I perform in musicals, I use my real name of Kim Junsu. Regardless of what name I use, I give people my all to repay them for remembering me and coming to see me. But I started out as ‘Xiah’ and I would like to keep performing under that name as a singer.”

Though Kim Junsu made his debut and became famous as TVXQ’s Xiah Junsu, he has no longer been able to use that stage name since beginning his lawsuit against SM Entertainment.

When he released his first solo album in May, he released it under the name ‘XIA’ which was his name ‘XIAH’ from his TVXQ days without an ‘H’.

When looking at him, drowning into his intense gaze, his stylish way of taking to his soft looks, you can see that he meets the requirements of what all the girls this generation want in a man. Because it’s Kim Jaejoong, being part of the life of a celebrity, his life is always the target of stalkers eyes, so he might have integrated a sense of his real identity into the conditions faced in the movie “Jackal is Coming” when he take on the challenge of acting in this film. Even though the plot is about a female killer kidnapping a popular celebrity, you can still see some of the things Jaejoong has really experienced in his life through this film.

How does it feel when filming this movie?

“With the stalker fans? I have a unique perspective (laugh). It is depicted in the movie, I would experience being with a girl that has followed me and a heartbreaking past love. In reality, because it is beyond our imagination, so the stalker girl in the movie is very cute.

Even though the stalker girl is very cute in the movie, and even if Kim Jaejoong doesn’t say it, we can feel the pain he has suffered because of stalker fans. Maybe that is why he picked “Jackal is Coming’ making me want to ask him why Kim Jaejoong has decided to film this piece.

“Because it’s a comedy, and it’s really not a heavy genre, but the biggest reason is this is a role I have never tried before; having Song Jihyo noona who is from the same company as the female lead in this drama was also a big factor. So after reading the script again I decided to act in this movie.

Of course, because this is his first time challenging the big screen, there were many parts that could be improved. When he was filming “Jackal is coming”, because at the same time he was also part of the MBC drama “Dr. Jin”, so he suffered through a lot of physical pains. Kim Jaejoong said ” Because this is my first movie, so it a movie that has a lot of parts that could be be improved on.” Even so, he is satisfied to say” But this shows me new opportunities.” However to him personally, there’s still one place he felt was not good: “when my face was broadcasted, it was too big!” this was just a offhand remark from him.

.The first time”, these works to Jaejoong represents his wholehearted feeling of excitement and joy.
During this process, there was something to be thankful for – during every hard moment, he would always have JYJ members Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu at his side. They been through all kinds of situations together, so their relationship with each other is a lot deeper, when talking about them, Jaejoong had a “dad like smile”. With the twists and turns of things, if he could just see Park Yoochun who is a stable actor and singer Kim Junsu who just released his solo album, he would feel a lot more comforted.

“When everyone is doing their own activities, they are all very professional, but as long as we get together, we would just be like before,nothing has changed. Because we have been together for 10 years. Especially recently it’s kind of strange, I’m obviously the hyung, but these kids are getting disrespect. Hahaha”

“Because everyone is busy with their solo activities, whenever we meet we would laugh and ignore honorific speech, don’t know starting from when, every time we go drinking I would kiss the members (laugh). Junsu is very good looking, Yoochun is also very good looking, how come they are so good looking? As we age, I can feel that the kids are growing older, I will always feel apologetic to them but also very thankful.”

Just like thinking about his true lover, he smiled. In the end he said “there won’t be any rumors about me being gay right?” as he said this he laughed, through this we can feel that the members are very important to him.

Through “Jackal is coming” Kim Jaejoong has entered the movie entertainment world, even though he still has a long road to go, but with Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu around, he will not lonely.

~That’s right! Today we are interviewing, after HOT and Shinhwa, Korea welcomes a new popular group TVXQ
They have been known as one of the groups in the forefront of Korean music

YH: In this new album, there are 11 songs
It’s 1 year and 8 months since our previous album
We are working hard to let our fans hear better works from us
Hope fans can hear our effort
This album is more energized and sunny

~Continuing their energetic style from before
This new album “Catch Me” to the regrouped TVXQ, brings a more sunny, confident performance
And in the dance performance, there are of course new break throughs

CM: This dance is not self choreographed
The dance teacher said the moves were inspired by a movie
Inspiration that came from the animals in a movie
So the scenes from a movie produced our dance this time

YH: This dance is really quite hard
We learned it for a long time
It was completed with us and our dance teacher together
It’s only possible to complete it with great collaboration with the dance teacher
In the dance it has some movements imitating animals. The dragon moves were all really hard

~Until now, TVXQ’s new album sold over 150000 copies
On Korean sales ranking chart Hateo were #1 for 4 weeks
Next year will be their 10 year anniversary
So with the production of this album, it is very important for the two of them

YH: During the production of the album, we have to communicate with our teacher a lot
So this album has a lot of our ideas in it

CM: I think Yunho is older than me
But he continued to have a pure feeling for music

TVXQ Max Changmin is acting as Momo in the Japanese movie ‘Fly With The Gold’ and it is also his first step as a movie actor. In the movie, Changmin acted alongside renowned actor Tsumabuki Satoshi who have acted in various movies such as ‘Tears For You’, ‘Josee, the Tiger and the Fish’, ‘Water Boys’ and drama ‘Lunch no Joou’ etc and Tadanobu Asano who acted in hollywood movies ‘Thor’ and ‘Battleship’, accumulating his acting experience.

Displaying acting together with Max Changmin, Tsumabuki Satoshi who acted as Koda mentioned in various interviews that, “Changmin is an actor with determination and it became my motivation as well. As Changmin is Momo, I feel that it is very good.”, giving his praises for Changmin.

He expressed, “Director Izutsu is well known to be harsh and I think Changmin will be in difficulties. At first though I received a lot of harsh comments too, but I still told Changmin, ‘Director tend to be harsh with his words but it was all because he hopes that Changmin can do well. Therefore don’t lose to it and do it seriously till the end!” While relaying the situation on the filming set, he said too, “Changmin is really a honest hard worker and hate to lose. I think the director’s motivation and Changmin’s determination that complement each other.” He has great compliments of Changmin who courageously acted in his foreign language.

 As for Tadanobu Asano, he also said, “Changmin is really a great person. It was his first time acting in Japanese movie but he is very hardworking.” As he also has experience acting with a foreign language in hollywood movies, he recognized Changmin’s effort, “I feel that I learnt a lot from this filming. He really is a great kid and I completely became his fan. If there is anyone who badmouthed Changmin, I would not let him off.”, revealing his words of support for Changmin.

It is Max Changmin’s first time acting in movie and with Japanese language, he received a lot of compliments and also is nominated for newcomer award in the 37th Hochi Film Award and 36th Japanese Academy Award.

Other than being active as an actor, TVXQ will be having their concert ‘TVXQ! LIVE WORLD TOUR ‘Catch Me’ In SEOUL’ on the 17th and 18th November at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium and then embarking on their world tour.

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong will be presenting his first commercial movie ‘Code Name: Jackal’ to audiences and yesterday (13th of November), he accepted our reporter’s interview and revealed his helplessness for ‘bogus Kim Jaejoong’.

In the movie ‘Code Name: Jackal’, Kim Jaejoong acted as top star Choi Hyun who has to hide away from the killing antics of killer Bong Min Jung (Song Ji Hyo) and acted out a ‘real-fake Choi Hyun’ escapade. Kim Jaejoong expressed in the interview, “Just like in the movie where Choi Hyun has to act as fake Choi Hyun, there is a bogus Kim Jaejoong in real life too. Frequently at times when I am at home, there will be people who said, ‘Kim Jaejoong appeared. Kim Jaejoong is clubbing.’ There seems to be someone who is using my name and people always telling me that they saw someone looking very alike to me.”

Kim Jaejoong also revealed that even his good friends cannot differentiate the ‘bogus Kim Jaejoong’ and the real him. He said, “There was once when I was at home and a friend sent me a message, asking me why did I pretend that I don’t know him/her. It was later that even my own close friends saw that person and thought that person was me. After my friends made a confirmation, they said that he really looked alike to me.” While saying the story of ‘bogus Kim Jaejoong’, the real Kim Jaejoong helplessly smiled and said, “Looks like there is someone who really looks like me.”

‘Code Name: Jackal’ with actress Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jaejoong opens tomorrow on the 15th of November and it is rated PG-15.
