[Trans] 120615 Xia Junsu Press Conference In Jakarta
[Junsu]
it took me 40 minutes to prepare for this look, but I’ve been sporting this style ever since 6 months ago.
I landed in Jakarta last night. I actually have always wanted to visit Indonesia, but since there are things that need to be done first, I’ve only got the chance now. This is my first visit to Indonesia; I’m very interested to look around Jakarta. and i will tell my friends about Indonesia after i get back to Korea.
[Narration]
To satisfy Indonesian Xiahpwas, Junsu admitted to have been studying Bahasa Indonesia. He gave his smiles and laugh often during the Press Conference. The man who just participated in the Musical Mozart and really fond of Soccer looks enthusiastic when talking about his new album.
[Junsu]
The word “Tarantallegra” is very unique, that’s why I chose the word. While I was writing for the song, someone suggested me to use ‘Tarantallegra’ . It is one of the spell in the “Harry Potter” Movie and so I match the makeup concept and everything else to be connected to it.
I’m always changing (t/n when asked about his idol) and after that, my idol is now Mozart.
I actually feel content with my career now, but if i could turn back the time, I would like to be a soccer player because I really like playing soccer. I’m just feeling very grateful with what I have now in my young age.
[Roni Sianturi (Promoter)]
The request is to bring one person, but the one who came was 30 people… (t/n vid cut off here)

U.S. National Park Service officials say five people were traveling as one rope team early Thursday morning as part of a Miyagi Workers Alpine Federation expedition on the Alaska mountain.
Park Service spokeswoman Maureen McLaughlin said Hitoshi Ogi, 69, survived after falling 60 feet into a crevasse. He was able to climb out.
The other four tumbled into the avalanche debris and haven’t been seen since. The climbers are presumed dead by either snow burial or injuries suffered in falls
Snowfall and wind have impeded a search for the missing climbers.
Hitoshi spoke to Park Service employees after the event. He said the climbers were descending the mountain together when the avalanche began, McLaughlin said. They sped up, trying to get down the mountain faster, but the rope connecting them broke when the avalanche struck.
Hitoshi was the lowest person on the rope team. He looked for the other four but couldn’t find them.
“He wasn’t sure of all the events,” McLaughlin said, adding that Hitoshi spoke through a translator and was exhausted.
The four missing climbers include 64-year-old Yoshiaki Kato, 50-year-old Masako Suda, 56-year-old Michiko Suzuki, and 63-year-old Tamao Suzuki.
There was new snow on the route, but the weather on Thursday was calm, McLaughlin said.
“Where the avalanche occurred, the vast majority (of the new snow) was not on the main route,” McLaughlin said. “A small sliver of it was, and that’s what took them.”
McLaughlin called the avalanche, “an unlucky, random event.”
“Avalanches do occur in this vicinity, but it’s not common, she said.
The climbers were attempting the busiest route, West Buttress, during the height of mountaineering season. Climbers attempted the route on 92 percent of attempts on Mount McKinley in 2011.
The Park Service said in a news release that nearly 400 people were on the Alaska mountain on Saturday.
Mount McKinley, also known as Denali, is America’s tallest peak. While not a particularly tall peak by global standards, its latitude makes for far thinner air than is found in mountains closer to the equator. That, combined with the weather and temperatures, makes it a particularly dangerous climb.
Four people died on the mountain in 2009 and again in 2010. At least five people died in 2011 on Mount McKinley.

Lately, MBC’s TV series Dr.Jin has been receiving positive feedback from viewers day after another with its great storyline and spectacular scenes. The leading actors of the series show particular affection to the script.
On June 12, some behind-the-scenes cuts were revealed.
You can spot actors enthusiastically working on portraying their characters as they are completely absorbed in acting, not letting go of the script.
Because none of the cast has gotten caught up in a controversy over the lack of acting skills, Dr.Jin became very popular. Certainly, the cast who are affectionate toward the characters they play brought a high quality to the series with their love for the script.
Actor Song Seung Hun gradually builds his reputation through his role of a genius doctor of the 21st century who time-travels back in the Joseon Dynasty. Park Min Young plays a double role which goes back and forth the timeline. Although it is his first time acting in a historical drama, Kim Jae Joong shows great acting skills. They grab viewers’ attention at once because they are so absorbed in their roles.
In addition to the cast mentioned above, Lee Bum Soo who is dubbed “the god of acting” plays Lee Ha Eung, “the leader of Joseon.” His acting video clip without background music has already impressed numerous netizens and soon, he gained a nickname “genius acting.”
A staff member of the production crew says, “On the shooting set, you can easily spot actors who are constantly studying about their characters holding a script in their hand. Before and during the shooting, they communicate, study, and give their best with the director.”
With increasing viewer ratings thanks to the enthusiastic cast, MBC’s Dr.Jin broadcasts every Saturday and Sunday at 9:50 p.m.

I still need to write my Junsu fansign fan accounts but I’m procrastinating on doing my homework right now so oops~
I arrived at the Lotte Department Store at 영등포 about forty-five minutes before the event started. I started to get in line and then I look at the woman behind me and I see she has a ticket. She looks at me, and sees that I don’t have a ticket, and says (rather snarkily), “You need a ticket to get in. Don’t you have a ticket? Winners pick it up from the NII store.” Anyways I start to get kind of panicky because I don’t have a ticket, so I explain to the guard I got my merchandise online, and showed him my text message confirming that I won along with my ID, and he said that it’s fine and I’m good to go. Hah! Take that rude lady!
I get closer to the door and theres a man holding a paper bag, and I see people pulling bits of paper from the bag. I close my eyes and draw out a piece of paper from the bag, and I have number 33. I wasn’t sure what it ment, so I wander around and see a group of fans writing notes for the boys on post-its and sticking it to a board. On mine, I tell them that even though I can’t speak Korean well, their music has made me so happy throughout the years, and that I will always love and support them no matter what.
Soon it’s time to go in, and I go into the event hall and find out the numbers we drew are actually our seat numbers and I just about wet myself because I drew 33 out of about 500 people, meaning I was in the second row and about 3m from the stage. They are playing the Making Of for the latest NII CF in the background.
Soon, two MCs come out and start talking to the crowd. TBH I don’t really know whats going on but I know they say they’re giving away the cardboard standees that are on the stage, and some other items as well as hugs and handshakes from the boys. And then the two MCs walk to the side of the stage and suddenly the boys start talking with their mics, but we can’t see because they are still offstage.
Then the boys come out, and everyone bursts into screams and applauds. Junsu (wearing a blue NII shirt) is sitting closest to me, then Jaejoong (wearing a white NII shirt), and then Yoochun (wearing a grey NII shirt) is farthest ;_; (but still really close).
Also I might be crazy but I’m pretty sure Yoochun kept staring at me. Like not just glancing at me but we would make eye contact for at least 10 seconds before I would have to cover my face with my hands from blushing or look away to Jaejoong or Junsu. He did this a few times >//< I guess I really stood out? haha
So I honestly can’t remember which of these two events happened first but they ask the people in the audience wearing the same shirts as JYJ to stand up. Then, they bring the girls up on stage. The girl wearing the same shirt as Yoochun gets a back hug from him, and she covers her face while he does it because she’s so shy haha. Jaejoong had four people wearing the same shirt as him, and they each got a hug. Junsu had two girls, and they both got hugs and got to take polaroids with Junsu!
Then, they bring out the boards with the post-its and they start picking out ones to read. Like I said, I can’t speak Korean really well but I THINK Jaejoong might have picked off mine and gave it to Yoochun saying something like, “Here, this one is English, you can read it” but Yoochun laughed and took it but didn’t read it aloud so I guess I’ll never know ;_; It might be just wishful thinking.
Then, the boys drew a number from the box, and whatever number he drew the whole row got to go up and get a handshake from them… It was a row from the back this time though ;_;
At one point Yoochun started saying something (I think I remember it as “What I really like is…” and then he trailed off) and one girl shouted “헐!”. Yoochun looked at her and said, “헐?!… 대박…”
During the fanmeet, I was tweeting what was going on, so sometimes I wasn’t giving my 100% attention or not looking at the stage. While I’m tweeting about the above event, suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder and hear “STAND UP!”, and I look around and see everyone else in the audience is standing up. I stand up and the MCs and pointing at me and still saying playfully, “STAND UP! STAND UP PLEASE! THANK YOU” and JYJ are looking right at me and grinning so I smile and give a thumbs up and say sorry! Haha I’m glad JYJ noticed me but not exactly the way I wanted to get noticed haha ;_;
Anyways they played a game where if you were wearing a certain item of clothing/were a certain type of person, you had to sit down. They asked questions like, “If you are single…”, “If you are wearing a ring…”, “If you aren’t wearing any makeup…”. They played this three different times and each winner got a bottle of perfume/cologne signed by one of the boys. Yoochuns girl got a hug from him, and Jaejoong wrote what I swear was a novel on his perfume bottle. He wrote on the edges and cap and everything haha. Junsu even initiated the hug with his girl ;o;
They start having a short chat session (which the girl beside me was kind enough to translate small bits of), and they bring up how Junsu was so shy during the latest NII photoshoot because of the girl, and he kept blushing a lot and couldn’t even touch her because he was so shy haha. Idk how much of it I believe because Junsu certainly showed his not-so-innocent side during his latest comeback haha ^^
Then, they tell us to check under our chairs. There are three chairs with pieces of paper taped to them and the winners got one of the cardboard standees. One winner was a girl in front of me, and the other two were somewhere in the back of the crowd.
They have another number drawing where a row of people (from the back again!) get to go up and get handshakes ;_; They have another talk and Jaejoong says how JYJ doesn’t wear the shoe inserts to make you taller because they are already tall enough haha. Yoochun also said how Jaejoong is working so hard for his drama and he even has to go to a shooting right after the event.
Soon after, the event comes to a close and the boys take a photo together with a NII banner, while the guards are trying to shield fans from taking photos of the boys haha. Outside of the hall, ladies that one the cardboard standees were kind enough to let us take photos of them ^^
I really hope this isn’t he only time I’m able to see all three of them together. I’m going home in a few weeks (or I might extend my stay until mid-August!), so I hope there’s another opportunity to see them, especially Yoochun! ;D
thanks a lot @yooCHUNSA

[Trans] 120606 Lee Tae Sung: “The Prejudices I Had Towards Idols-Turned-Actors Were All Broken By Yoochun
While “Rooftop Prince” was being broadcast, Lee Tae Sung would often demonstrate his close friendship with Park Yoochun through Twitter. To Yoochun, who had suffered the loss of his father in the earlier stages of filming, Lee Tae Sung had sent a message full of genuine care, “Although you are doing very well now, just be a son that your father would be proud of. Don’t say such heartbreaking things. You just experienced it earlier than others would. Press on.” Naturally, it makes people wonder how Park Yoochun is like in his eyes, as a colleague.
“Before the filming, I had my doubts as to whether Park Yoochun, who had started off as an idol, would be able to take on the role of Lee Gak well. So I think the way I looked at Yoochun was influenced by these social perceptions. Although he has quite little experience with filming productions as an actor, if you were to look past that, he is really very hardworking. Despite the tight filming schedule where we did not even have time to sleep, he was still able to familiarise himself perfectly with the script. He had to deal with some tough situations while filming, and in the latter half his physical condition got worse and worse, but he was still able to take on what is equivalent to 3 different roles, right up till the end. He is a good actor.

JYJ’s Yoochun shared his honest feelings about sasaeng fans in a recent interview with TV Report. The singer/actor that successfully wrapped up his latest drama, “Rooftop Prince,” started off by saying, “Sasaengs are one part of the fans, but it’s hard to understand them anymore.”
“I was able to get to this point because of the fans that supported me for such a long time, with the heart of a mom. Obviously, there have been other types of fans, too. To be honest with you, I don’t think they (sasaengs) are true fans. I’ve tried to understand and accept them as part of the fandom, but it’s been like that for eight years already. Now it’s just too hard to understand them. People tell me it’s part of being a celebrity, and that might be right. But it’s not as easy as you think,” he said.
“But in order to return the love to all the fans that have always supported me, I’m going to do my best to come up with good music, good acting, and a hardworking attitude. Also, I would like to say thank you for always showing love to me,” he added.
Meanwhile, Yoochun’s latest TV drama “Rooftop Prince” aired its finale on May 24, with the best TV ratings among other competitors. He played the dual role of Lee Gak and Yong Tae Yong for the time traveling fantasy drama, creating good chemistry with his female counterpart, Han Ji Min.

[News] JYJ’s Yoochun Seriously Considered Adopting A Younger Sister Over The Past Two Years
On June 4th, JYJ‘s Yoochun was interviewed at a restaurant in Kangnam, in which he shockingly revealed, “I really love daughters. My mother and I seriously considered adopting a younger sister.”
During the start of the interview, Yoochun could not conceal his excitement at the mention of Kim So Hyun, the child actress who played the young Sena on SBS‘s ‘Rooftop Prince‘. Yoochun stated, “She is so cute. I want a younger sister or daughter like her. I really do love daughters.”
Fans were very curious as to how Yoochun and So Hyun have such a close relationship, in which they hold numerous conversations over Twitter, even though they have never had a scene together in ‘Rooftop Prince’. To this, Yoochun explained, “There were many times when our waiting rooms were close by or times when we shared the same waiting room. Therefore, So Hyun and I saw each other a lot . I spent a lot of time with So Hyun because the waiting time [for ‘Rooftop Prince’] was long. So Hyun would come find me first and bring me food to eat and ask to take pictures together. It was really cute”.
Furthermore, Yoochun revealed his past consideration of adopting a younger sister and stated, ”Whenever I went to welfare buildings or shelters for children to volunteer or make a donation, I was heartbroken when I saw the children. I also have memories of when I went through a difficult period because I lived away from my family, but I feel like those children must be having a much more difficult time. I wanted to give someone as much love as I can, which is why I considered adoption for the past two years. It was a serious dilemma for me.”
The interviewer stated that Yoochun’s smiling face turned serious in an instant when he discussed the reason for not following through with the adoption. Yoochun stated, “I felt that a celebrity is a profession in which you cannot give all your love to one person. I gave up the decision to adopt because I felt like it would be an irresponsible act.”
Subsequently after discussing the topic of marriage with Yoochun, the interviewer wrote, “He is giving much thought about marriage, which is why I think he said that he will publicly reveal his relationship if he starts to date this time. With dating and marriage in mind, Yoochun wants to meet her in a sincere manner. He doesn’t have a concrete plan set for marriage, but his face brightened as soon as he began to fantasize about having a daughter.”
Yoochun said, “I really love daughters. I fantasize about having a loving family. When I marry I think I will be able to have a daughter like So Hyun. At the minimum, I think there is a 70% chance that I will have a pretty daughter. If she’s my daughter, she’ll definitely be pretty,” causing himself to laugh.

Park Yoochun (26) came to the Joongang Ilbo Building in Sunhwa-dong, Seoul for a photoshoot. The female staff, who are usually unmoved by most celebrities gathered together and started cheering.
That’s right, because Park Yoochun is an “idol”! He is a seasoned singer of 9 years since debut, and even if he appears in a red tracksuit and playing a comedic role in a drama, he is still an item of envy, a person who continues to draw the attention of the masses, a “natural-born idol.”
On 29 May, this reporter met the awe-inspiring Park Yoochun who transcended the modern and olden times in the SBS drama “Rooftop Prince” which ended on 24 May as the top rated drama for its Wednesday-Thursday timeslot.
# The Time-Travelling Crown Prince
Park Yoochun plays a double role in “Rooftop Prince,” as the Joseon crown prince Lee Gak and Second generation Chaebol Yong Tae Yong. Lee Gak, who comes to the future due to a time slip, has to reply in olden terms, even if all other actors speak to him in modern terms.
It was largely due to Park Yoochun’s natural acting, that allowed the audiences to accept the ludicrous story scenario without much burden. When asked if it was difficult to act in a time-slip drama, he said, “After reading the script, I could really feel writer Lee Hui Myung’s desire to see his wife again (This writer stopped writing for 6 years after the passing of his wife, and made his comeback with ‘Rooftop Prince’), so it was easy to get into character.”
He said, “As I was acting, I suddenly felt very heartbroken. To have to leave Park Ha (played by Han Jimin) whom I love so dearly and return to Joseon, I felt helpless. This is because a love that has transcended 300 years is deeper and purer than that of modern things.
To the free-spirited Park Yoochun, “Rooftop Prince” is also a very meaningful project. This is because during its shoot in March, his father had passed away. When asked when he would go to if he could travel through time, he said, “to the times that I spent with my father in America.”
Due to family troubles when he was in middle school he had migrated to America and worked with his father in a construction company. “It was a really difficult period, but thinking back now, I actually miss those times. I wanted to have better memories (of him)… but that period will probably stay in my heart forever.”
# From Singer Micky Yoochun To Actor Park Yoochun
Park Yoochun, who made his debut with TVXQ and broke away as a JYJ member, made his acting debut in 2010 with “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.” He worked on both period and modern dramas, and has earned the accolade of being “The idol-turned-actor with the best acting skills.” He said, “’Rooftop Prince’ was the first drama in which I threw away the burden of thinking ‘I have to do better’ while acting.”
“Even without forcing the emotions, even if I don’t feel like crying, I can still act in a natural manner. I have a scar on the left side of my face, and I had thought about covering it up with make-up, but now I want to be an actor that can show that scar naturally.”
He also said that if he has the chance, he will want to practice his enunciation while acting, or try acting in plays. This is because he has not had formal acting training aside from going to acting school for 3 months before shooting “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.” Park Yoochun, who is already a hallyu star also intends to continue singing.
“After watching (JYJ member) Junsu’s solo concert, I feel that I could never that well (Laughs). I want to write songs and lyrics, as well as produce my own album.”
