[TRANS] 130304 JYJ Sweat Profusely In Korea To Prepare For Their Concerts In China And Japan

[TRANS] 130304 JYJ Sweat Profusely In Korea To Prepare For Their Concerts In China And Japan

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu have swapped in their break, the first one they’ve had in a while, to sweat profusely and prepare for their overseas activities in China and Japan.

JYJ will be holding three concerts from the 2nd to the 4th of April at Tokyo Dome in Japan. The reason why the concert is so meaningful is that this is JYJ’s first official Japanese event in four years since their lawsuit against Avex began after the agency unilaterally cancelled their contract.

Because of this, Japanese fans have had to fly to Korea to watch JYJ perform for the past four years. JYJ have repeatedly expressed their sorrow about the fact they could not repay their Japanese fans for their endless support by visiting them in their own country. But now that things have wrapped up nicely, JYJ will be making a show-stopping comeback at Tokyo Dome, ‘the stage of dreams’.

Currently, the members are working harder than ever in Korea to prepare for their upcoming concert. Not only does Kim Jaejoong have the upcoming Tokyo Dome concert with his fellow members, but he will also be holding the third concert of his Asia Tour in Shanghai, China on the 17th of this month. This will be the third country he visits since Korea in January and Thailand in February, and the concert is expected to be an opportunity to showcase Kim Jaejoong’s new charm as a rocker. Because of this, Kim Jaejoong is busy preparing for JYJ’s concert and his own solo concert.

A representative of JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment asked for support for JYJ as he stated to eNEWS on the 3rd that, “The members of JYJ are working harder than ever to ensure a great performance.”

[TRANS] 130227 JYJ Talk About What Happened 4 Years Ago For The First Time, “We Couldn’t Do Anything”

[TRANS] 130227 JYJ Talk About What Happened 4 Years Ago For The First Time, “We Couldn’t Do Anything”

JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) recently confessed how hard it was for them after leaving TVXQ.

The members talked about the things they had kept locked in their hearts for the past 1000 days in the magazine ‘The JYJ THE STORY OF 1000 DAYS’.

Regarding their decision to leave TVXQ in 2009, JYJ explained, ‘At the time, some people in the industry and the public made speculations about us and attacked us. But we couldn’t do anything but stay silent. The flood of criticism and the ridiculous rumors ripped us apart. But we didn’t respond to them. That was because we knew that reacting would be nothing but ‘Spitting on our own faces’ in this situation.”

Park Yoochun said, “I’m sure that SM Entertainment, our agency at that time, were hurt too, but when I look back on what happened, I think we were hurt more by the whole thing. There were times when I thought, ‘What’s the use of saying things that will do nothing but hurt each other’. Though there were a lot of rumors surrounding us, we kept it locked in our hearts and repeated to ourselves, ‘This too shall pass.’ I felt like when time had passed, people and the world would come to see what the truth was.”

Kim Junsu said, “Chang Joo (CEO of C-JeS Entertainment) told us that things would get worse if we responded to every little thing, so we held back on everything. Though it was a very trying time for us, we could do nothing but hold back..”

Kim Jaejoong said, “We knew that this was a fight that we could possibly lose, but we hoped that people would understand our truth when time had passed. At the time, we had no one to speak for us, and we could do nothing but silently stand our ground. Because speaking up would lead to misunderstandings. We couldn’t express ourselves because even denying things would make us look like cowards.”

Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong released the repackage album of his rock album on the 26th that contains two extra compositions, along with the original tracks of his first solo album.

[TRANS] 130226 JYJ’s Side States, “ChannelA Should Apologize To Its Viewers, Not Just The Fans”

[TRANS] 130226 JYJ’s Side States, “ChannelA Should Apologize To Its Viewers, Not Just The Fans”

Group JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment revealed their stance on the apology recently given by ChannelA.

A representative of C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 26th to MyDaily that, “The basis of any broadcasting channel is to relay information. To provide the proper information about guests and programs the channel is airing to viewers. It is unfortunate that this fundamental principle was not kept during a large-scale, state event. It is not an issue that ends with an apology to just us or JYJ’s fans. It’s an issue that needs to be addressed to all the viewers.”

They also added, “The Transition Committee, which was in charge of the event, had already issued a press release that contained information about the guest performers, as well as the reason they had been invited to appear in the ceremony, but it is unfortunate that this information was not relayed.” They concluded by stating, “We see no reason to respond to the other statements and apologies made.”

Ahead of this, JYJ performed at Park Geun Hae’s Presidential Inauguration ceremony on the 25th at Yeoido. On this day, ChannelA’s Anchor Park Jong Jin and Reporter Lee Hyun Soo covered the live broadcast of the event and made subjective comments instead of objective explanations when they talked about JYJ, including statements such as, “They’re a group called JYJ, you don’t know much about them, do you?” and “They’re the ones who dropped out of TVXQ…”

Anchor Park Jong Jin continued to add, “Seeing them like this instead of under the bright lights of the concert stage makes it feel like they’re singing in a karaoke room.” Reporter Lee Hyun Soo tried to smooth things over by adding, “Though it does seem disordered, I’m sure this performance means a lot to JYJ.”

The comments that were made soon sparked a controversy amongst netizens and JYJ’s fans. Not only did the comments show a lack of understanding about JYJ, but they also failed to relay objective information to viewers. ChannelA made an apology through one of their programs when they stated, “We weren’t trying to denigrate them. We ask for the forgiveness of JYJ’s fans,” and “We meant to say that they were a group who had separated from TVXQ.” They also provided a clarification of the statements made about JYJ’s performance.

It has been found that JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu shed tears during their ‘THE JYJ’ interview.

The first edition of ‘THE JYJ’ released by JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment contains honest interviews from the members that took place over 25 hours in three sessions. During the interview, the members shed tears as they talked about what happened in 2009.

Both the members and the staff ended up in tears.”

In one of the interviews in the magazine, the members talked about crying at their 2010 Tokyo Dome concert [T/N: The original Korean article states ‘2010 도쿄돔 콘서트’ but judging from the content of JYJ’s comments, we presume they actually meant the 2009 concert, when all five members were still together. It may be a simple typo or it may not be, but we put this note in for clarification’s sake.] as they said, “We were so sorry to our fans. We were even more sorry that we couldn’t tell them that the five of us couldn’t be together anymore. When we were walking towards our fans, the tears wouldn’t stop flowing from our eyes. We still can’t forget that moment.”

The three members also talked about their affection for each other as they said, “Because we’re colleagues, because we’re not alone, we’re not scared,” and “Never! Not once! have we regretted this.”

The first edition of ‘THE JYJ’ contains honest interviews from the members that took place over 25 hours, as well as their memories of the past 1000 days as members of JYJ. A DVD containing 40 minutes of unreleased footage is also included in the magazine. ‘THE JYJ’ will be released every six months and will be catered to JYJ’s fans.

Meanwhile, JYJ have been active as ‘Korea’s representative group’ through various state events and honorary ambassador jobs, including performing at the 18th Presidential Inauguration ceremony.

They ended their lawsuit with SM Entertainment last November in three years and four months, and won their lawsuit against Japan’s AVEX on the 18th of January. As JYJ are now free to pursue activities in Japan, they are planning to greet fans in Japan for the first time in four years in Tokyo Dome in April.
