[TRANS] 131209 Kim Jaejoong Captivates The Chinese Mainland With ‘Talent + Visuals + Effort’
Kim Jaejoong’s first solo concert has the Chinese mainland shaking it up.
C-JeS Entertainment stated on the 9th, “Kim Jaejoong held his first solo concert in Nanjing, China at the Wutaishan Sports Center this weekend,” and “He attracted a total of 10,000 fans to the two-day event for his first-ever solo album Asia tour, and he captivated everyone with his amazing rock performances.”
On this day, Kim Jaejoong performed songs from his first full-length album and mini-album, showcasing his explosive vocal talent and fatal charm. Effortlessly belting out high notes, the singer showcased a variety of rock genres and ballads, captivating his fans with his melodious voice.
As many of the songs featured lyrics written by the singer himself, each performance felt like watching an episode of a drama. Kim Jaejoong changed outfits frequently, matching each outfit to a different atmosphere and touching his fans. The highlight of the concert was the singer’s rendition of ‘Just Another Girl’, which was followed by cheers from his fans to return to the stage for an encore.
After performing ‘MINE’, the title song of Kim Jaejoong’s mini album, Kim Jaejoong said, “Unfortunately, I have to say goodbye with the song ‘Paradise’. I’d like to thank all the fans who came from all over China to see me, and I’m so happy that we were able to share this special moment. I hope to see you again soon.”
The Chinese mainland’s passionate love for the star drew the attention of many. Banners were hung at the entrance of the sports center to show the fans’ support for the singer, and they began chanting Kim Jaejoong’s name 10 minutes before the start of the performance.
Each fan had a different backstory to how they reached Nanjing to see Kim Jaejoong perform. Jiang Myung (22), who came from the northeastern region of China, was unable to buy a plane ticket to Nanjing and had to ride a train for 22 hours to get there. There were many fans who traveled over 1,000km to get to Nanjing from Beijing.
A representative stated, “Fans flocked to Nanjing from all over China because they aren’t sure when Kim Jaejoong will return to China after this performance. We added an additional concert because we wanted to give more fans an opportunity to see the singer perform, and this became a hot topic in China.”

December 26, 2003- a day never to forget for fans of DBSK. I remember watching the BoA and Britney Spears Showcase knowing nothing of this five-member boy group before they sang the first versus of “Hug,” but after they were done wooing the hearts of females everywhere with their sweet voices and looks, I was fascinated. Then when I saw them sing live at one of the weekly music shows, I fell for them hook, line, and sinker. It was so rare then to see a group sing live AND dance at the same time during those days.
In 2008, December 26 was a day to remember fondly forever. Today in 2013, it is a day to remember with bittersweetness. DBSK now celebrates their 10-year anniversary as TVXQ and JYJ, and while I happily congratulate both groups, there is a corner of my heart that is still a bit sad.
Still, December 26 is the day to celebrate these five fantastic boys, excuse me, men, for their hard work and the music and enjoyment they have brought to world over the past ten years. Thank you, Changmin, Junsu, Yoochun, Yunho, and Jaejoong. It’s been a fantastic ten years. Here’s to ten more!
In honor of their 10th anniversary, TVXQ announced that they will be releasing their seventh album on January 6 next year, titled “Tense.” The title track is “Something,” and the TV commercial celebrating the anniversary and the upcoming release will be aired throughout the day today on SBS, KBS, and MBC.
JYJ also released a special video celebrating their 10 years and thanking fans
TVXQ is currently busy with their “Time Slip” concert at SMTOWN Week, holding shows on December 26 and 27. Jaejoong recently completed his “2013 Kim Jaejoong 1st Album Asia Tour,” Junsu is be holding his “2013 Xia Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra Vol.2” concert on December 30 and 31, and Yoochun will begin filming for the new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “Three Days” in January.

Relive it!
DBKS’s debut performance, singing “Hug” at the BoA and Britney Spears Showcase on SBS.
DBSK’s “Hug” Music Video- Max with his cat, U-Know with his crooked teeth, Hero with his anime hair, Xiah before his “smile angel” days, and Micky with his shiny lips. Also, Go Ara looking so young!
A personal favorite- DBSK (THSK) singing their Japanese track “Bolero” live. I’ve watched this more times than I would like to admit.
Cassies! What are YOUR favorite memories of them?

C-JeS Entertainment has released their official statement on their lawsuit against violations of portrait rights.
JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment released an official statement on the 26th that read, “C-JeS Entertainment are working hard to protect the publicity rights (right to stop third parties from using the publicity rights of celebrities without their permissions for commercial purposes) of all our celebrities, not only JYJ. We have a strong legal system to combat these illegal actions.”
Through an explanation from their legal party, C-JeS announced that they would be filing a compensation for loss lawsuit against two magazine publications, which used photos of JYJ without the members’ permission, and the trials would be closed by mid-December.
They continued to state, “Publishing dozens of pages of photos from news coverage articles and press conferences, as well as creating special editions with these photos, is an act that violates our celebrities’ publicity rights and this is why we have filed our lawsuit,” and “Acts like this have already been recognized as a violation of publicity rights, so we expect similar verdicts for our lawsuits.”
C-JeS clarified their stance as they added, “We are not out to ban or limit proper news coverage, and we believe that photos can definitely be used for news coverage, but only if it is done in a reasonable parameter.”
-Below is the explanatory statement by C-JeS’ legal party-
◆A compensation for loss lawsuit has been filed against two magazine publications for using photos of the three members of JYJ without their permission.
◆Many rounds of court debates have already taken place, and the verdict is set to be made in mid-December.
◆The two magazine publications in question have used photos from news articles and press conferences in dozens of pages in their magazines, as well as publishing A4-sized photos for a special edition booklet. These acts are seen to be a violation of publicity rights that goes beyond reasonable news coverage.
◆The two magazine publications in question have argued that their actions lay within the parameters of reasonable news coverage, but their use of photos in dozens of pages and A4-sized pages cannot be seen as such.
◆Regarding the use of celebrity photos, acts like this have already been recognized as a violation of publicity rights both domestically and overseas (US, Japan etc), so we expect similar verdicts for our lawsuits.
◆However, we are not out to ban or limit proper news coverage, and we believe that photos can definitely be used for news coverage, but only if it is done in a reasonable parameter.
