[TRANS] 130118 JYJ “Win Their Lawsuit Against AVEX” – Guaranteed Freedom In Their Japanese Activities
It has been found that JYJ have won their exclusive contract invalidity lawsuit against Japan’s biggest music management agency ‘AVEX’.
A representative of JYJ’s management agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, “At around 2pm, our Japanese legal representative gave us a short call to inform to us that we won the lawsuit,” and “They have stated that they will send us the detailed verdict and content of the lawsuit, so we will wait for that.”
JYJ’s fans are already busy sending their congratulations online. The rumor of, “The Courts made the verdict that Avex must pay JYJ 600 million Yen and can no longer block any future JYJ activities,” is spreading fast amongst fans. Regarding this, C-JeS stated, “We can’t confirm anything until we receive the full verdict.”
JYJ, who had also been locked in a legal battle with SM, signed an exclusive management contract with AVEX in February, 2010 for their Japanese activities. However, AVEX changed their attitudes completely in September, 2010 and conflict emerged between the two sides. AVEX suddenly began taking up an issue with the controversies surrounding JYJ’s representatives and announced that they would stop all activities. In October, they joined hands with SM Entertainment’s singers such as TVXQ and Super Junior and began supporting their activities.
JYJ and AVEX’s legal battle began in the early months of 2011. JYJ planned their own Japanese concert in Saitama, Japan as AVEX was no longer following through with their exclusive contract, but AVEX blocked the concert in a variety of ways.
In April, JYJ filed an activity hindrance prohibition injunction, as well as an exclusive contract invalidity lawsuit, and have been waiting for a verdict.

Following their settlement with SM Entertainment last year, JYJ seems to have rid themselves of another lawsuit by claiming victory against their former Japanese management, Avex.
C-JeS Entertainment confirmed the news by commenting, “During the trial in Japan on the 18th, it was ruled that Avex cannot interfere with the Japanese promotional activities of JYJ.”
They added, “Once the exact decision documents arrive, we will send out a press release.”
The group has been battling Avex since 2011 on the basis of interfering with the group’s attempt to put on a charity concert for the Tohoku earthquake.
With this ruling, it seems that JYJ may be able to start promoting in Japan again.

[TRANS] Kim Junsu Has The Greatest Ticket Power with an All-Kill in Both Musicals and Concert
JYJ’s Kim Junsu and Ok Joo Hyun have made their mark as the musical actors with the greatest ticket power.
On the 7th, ticket reservation site Interpark released the results of their ‘Golden Ticket Awards’, which names the actors and productions with the greatest ticket power in 2012. In the musical genre, EMK Musical Company’s ‘Elisabeth’ came out on top, with Kim Junsu and Ok Joo Hyun chosen as the actor and actress with the greatest ticket power.
In 2012, Kim Junsu played Tod in the musical ‘Elisabeth’ and reinterpreted the character signifying death in his own way, receiving love from both fans and musical lovers alike. As his third production since ‘Mozart!’ and ‘Tears of Heaven’, ‘Elisabeth’ has helped Kim Junsu lose his image as an idol singer and make his mark as a talented musical actor.
Kim Junsu, who topped the rankings of the musical genre, also came out on top in the concert category as well. This was the result of Kim Junsu’s busy schedule as a solo singer in 2012 as he released an album and held his ‘JYJ Junsu 1st Asia Tour’ and ‘XIA Ballad & Musical Concert’ this year.
(omitted for irrelevance)
The ‘Golden Ticket Awards’ differs from other awards ceremonies as it has no judging panel and choses its nominees and winners based on ticket sales and audience participation (voting poll) in the past year. It is a ‘Award chosen by the audience members’ that is given to the year’s most popular productions and actors. On its eighth year since beginning in 2005, the public-oriented awards ceremony held its voting poll from the 24th of December till the 6th of January on the Interpark website, with a total of 17,708 participants.

Translated Lyrics to Goose’s Dream
I… I used to have a dream
Though thrown away and torn
and looks worn out
I kept it within my heart as if it was a treasure
Sometimes, though someone laughed at me
for an unknown reason
behind my back
I had to endure, I could endure
For that day…
You always tell me worriedly
That pointless dream is a poison
That this world is like a book, where the end is already written
That it is a reality that can’t be reversed
That’s right, I… I have a dream
I believe in that dream.
Just you watch me.
I can proudly confront
That coldly standing wall called fate.
Some day, I’ll climb over that wall
And fly high to that sky
Even this heavy world cannot bind me.
Let’s spend the day when I’ll laugh at the end of my life together…
You always tell me worriedly
That pointless dream is a poison
That this world is like a book, where the end is already written
That it is a reality that can’t be reversed
That’s right, I… I have a dream
I believe in that dream.
Just you watch me.
I can proudly confront
That coldly standing wall called fate.
Some day, I’ll climb over that wall
And fly high to that sky
Even this heavy world cannot bind me.
Let’s spend the day when I’ll laugh at the end of my life together…
[News] 121230 KBS K-pop Festival’s Sound System Exposes The Vocal Talents of Idols, ‘Forced MR Removal’
The KBS K-pop Festival’s honest sound system has exposed the vocal talents of K-pop idols.
KBS 2TV’s ‘K-pop Festival’ was aired on the 28th of December and was graced by singers who shined in 2012. They sang their biggest hit of 2012 and also got together for collaboration performances that exuded a completely different charm than usual.
However, aside from the dance numbers, the performances of the attending idol singers fell below expectations and were disappointing. As the entire concert was performed live, their embarrassing vocal talent, or lack thereof, was exposed. The sound of singers struggling to catch their breath could be heard through the microphones, and there were some idols who couldn’t sing at all because they were out of breath. There were also idols who lip-synced and relied on the AR of their songs, making the entire ordeal awkward for those who were watching.
The only people who survived the exposure were 2AM, K. Will, Hyorin, Ailee, SHINee, Noeul and TVXQ. Hyorin showcased her vocal talent through a sexy performance, as well as during her collaboration number of the guitarist Park Joo Won. SHINee and TVXQ gave perfect performances as they sang so well to extremely difficult choreography that it made one wonder if they were actually singing live or lip-synching.
Meanwhile, netizens left comments on various online community sites as they were watching the performances. Most of the netizens picked up on KBS’ sound system and the singers’ vocal talent. They left comments such as, “KBS’ K-Pop Festival’s sound system has no mercy. A forced MR removal”, “The singers vocal talents are exposed. It’s embarrassing to listen to”, “This shows who has talent and who doesn’t”, “It must be embarrassing for the singers. How will they perform live”, “I can hear their voices so well. I can easily tell who can’t sing”, “Is today a MR removal special?” and “Forced live performances.”
