[Interview] 130124 JYJ′s Kim Jae Joong is Sad About JYJ′s Inability to Appear on TV

Although its legal proceedings with SM Entertainment have come to a conclusion, JYJ is still unable to appear on TV as singers.

As such, JYJ member Kim Jae Joong recently came to voice his sorrow at being unable to perform on TV.

In a recent interview with enews, Kim Jae Joong said, “It′s not just our problem, but we′re really sorry.”

Kim Jae Joong, Park Yoo Chun and Kim Junsu, who were members of TVXQ (DBSK) at the time, demanded their contract with SM Entertainment be cancelled, filing a lawsuit against the agency in 2009. Their opinion was that their 13-year contract with SM was too long, and that the division of profits were set at the agency′s advantage.

As the court acknowledged that it “approves individual promotions,” the members have continued to promote through dramas, albums and concert tours inside and outside Korea. The group, however, hasn′t been able to appear on music or variety shows. The three main channels defended their avoidance of the group with the assertion that its appearance could have an affect on the court decisions.

The long battle came to an end in December with an agreement between SM and JYJ, but the main channels are still treading carefully around the issue of the group′s televised appearances.

Kim Jae Joong said about the lack of televised promotions, “People around me tell me ′you′re doing great even without television′ or ask ′aren′t you doing okay without it?′ but that′s how it looks when you see things from JYJ′s point of view. Celebrities need to approach their fans through the media, but for us, it′s the fans who have been seeking us and our music.”

He added, “Elementary school students these days don′t know us. Though they do know us, they know us as actors, so that′s saddening. We′ve spent almost four years this way, and we want to repay our fans who have been coming in to visit us.”

In the meantime, Kim Jae Joong released his first solo mini album Mine on January 17. The title song has been received as a revival of traditional rock.

[Trans] 130124 Kim Jaejoong Returned As Solo Artiste, The Reason For Not Using ‘Hero Jaejoong

[Trans] 130124 Kim Jaejoong Returned As Solo Artiste, The Reason For Not Using ‘Hero Jaejoong

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong who made his return recently debuting as a solo artiste, expressed his reason for not using ‘Hero Jaejoong’ as his stage name.

At a cafe in Apgujeong on the 22nd of January, Kim Jaejoong had an interview for the release of his first solo album ‘I’ and expressed his thoughts on returning as his original status as a singer after a long break and his plans for the future activities.

During the beginning of the release of Kim Jaejoong’s solo album, though the topics were surrounding his deep involvement in the compositions of the songs, the topic that made others curious is why didn’t he use his own name for the album. Though it was not an unusual case for singers to release his/her own album with his/her own name, Kim Junsu who released his solo album ‘Tarantallegra’ last year, he used the stage name ‘XIA’ which was used when he debuted almost a decade ago. This caused a comparison among the two of them.

Actually the answer to the question is simply easy. Ever since he stepped into C-JeS, he has never used the stage name ‘Hero’. Kim Jaejoong made his explanation, “Junsu prefer ‘XIA’. I did talked to Junsu about this (using own name) before and Junsu himself felt that ‘Kim Junsu’ will be more suitable as a musical actor but as ‘Kim Junsu’ who sang pop music, ‘XIA’ would be more suitable.” , “In fact, it is really more suitable.”, “As for me, ‘Hero’ was a name I used during the time as five, but right now I am trying my best to find and capture my own way.”

In that case, did he take note of Kim Junsu who has successfully released his own album and had a world tour? He denied and said, “To be honest, I am very envious. This friend of mine was able to have a world tour with a full album but my situation is a bit different.”, “As I am only challenging new genre, thus I would not be bothered and Junsu would not be of a pressure factor to me.”

However, as compared to dance songs, rock music tends to be more familiar at overseas. Due to its genre, it is able to conquer the world market easily. Kim Jaejoong expressed that if he is able to fill up the songs for the concert, he would have plans for a world tour. Although it is so, the reason for not liking a world tour is simply because of loneliness.

He said, “For example in Junsu’s case, there are times where certain things are done out of own’s will. It is so lonely that it kills.’, “Junsu doesn’t drink or join in the after-party with the staffs and would eat alone and went back hotel.”

When asked “Do you drink?”, he answered “Yes” and Kim Jaejoong’s expression turn brightly with a “In that case, I won’t be lonely.”

[TRANS] 130124 Kim Jaejoong Says, “I Heard That Sunye Is Getting Married, She’s Truly Blessed”

[TRANS] 130124 Kim Jaejoong Says, “I Heard That Sunye Is Getting Married, She’s Truly Blessed”

“Sunye is truly a blessed person.”

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong showed his envy for Wondergirls’ Sunye, who will be the first idol of their generation to be getting married.

During an interview at the Seoul Sejong-ro Plaza Hotel on the 21st, Kim Jaejoong said, “I use to say in past interviews that I wanted to get married as soon as possible. I guess I was being preposterous. I found that getting married is a really hard thing to do.”

Born in 1986, Kim Jaejoong will be celebrating his 28th birthday this year. Having made his debut in the entertainment industry in 2004, this year will mark his 10th anniversary as a singer. Kim Jaejoong has basically spent most of his twenties as a celebrity. When we mentioned ‘love’ during the interview, his serious expression softened and he returned to being a regular guy in his late twenties.

He grumbled, “I heard that Sunye is 24 years old. And getting married this week. While there are some people like me who find it hard to even go out on a date.” He continued to say, “I think Sunye is truly a blessed person. It’s not easy to find someone you love and want to settle down with at that age.”

Introducing himself as ‘lonely’, he talked about a recent love story he experienced. He said, “In my latest album, there’s a song called ‘Comfort for Myself’. The lyrics center around an experience I had. I even prepared a ring for that person, but they left me, without ever getting to see that ring. Does that person know that I had prepared a ring,” and his words trailed off at the end.

He looked like he was in deep thought for a moment before he added with a smile, “But that ring, I got a refund for it. I took it back to the shop the next day and they gave me a refund. It was part of a matching set but I was already wearing mine. So I couldn’t get a refund for that one because I already had it on.” He continued to joke and say, “Sunye will be getting married on the day of my concert. I’m hoping for lots of people to come, but I’m worried that it’ll be shadowed by her wedding.”

However, Kim Jaejoong still dreams that the perfect love will find him one day but he is planning to focus more on seeing his fans than partaking in a relationship with a woman. He has plans for a JYJ album with Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu after his solo activities. And we may see Kim Jaejoong on TV and on the big screen in the near future.

[TRANS] 130121 JYJ Look Back On The Last 1000 Days Through A Magazine, “We Didn’t Give Up. We’re Happy”

A magazine that details the last 1000 days of JYJ will be released in Korea and Japan at the same time.

On the 21st of January, C-JeS Entertainment stated, “The first edition of ‘The JYJ’, the interview magazine that commemorates the 1000th day since JYJ was created, will be released simultaneously in Korea and Japan. It contains records of their worldwide English album, their world tours, and their individual activities in musicals and dramas in chronological order.”

The magazine is set to be more meaningful as JYJ have concluded all legal battles that they had previously been engaged in as they came to an agreement with their former agency SM Entertainment last November and recently won their lawsuit against their Japanese agency AVEX.

A representative of C-JeS stated, “JYJ fought a long legal battle for three years against their unlawful contract. Not only have they won their freedom, but they have also provided their juniors with a better environment to pursue their activities in,” and “But because of unseen external forces, JYJ’s activities have been restricted and JYJ talked about their feelings about this in their interviews as they took the effort to find new challenges to take on instead of giving up or backing down.”

C-JeS’ CEO Baek Chang Joo stated, “For a long time, we have worked hard to walk down our own path, and we have changed obstacles into opportunities to widen the spectrums for each member, making them leaders of other K-POP stars as they have successfully completed two world tours and made their mark in the drama and musical industries,” and “We wanted to make a book that will be dedicated to the fans who have shown their love and support for the members, no matter how hard things got.”

The magazine ‘The JYJ’ was created through a total of 25 hours of interviews with the members, and will be a total of 139 pages with a special DVD. During their interviews, the members were said to have teared up as they talked about 2009, and all the people who gave them strength during those troubled times.

JYJ stated, “Though there have been hard times in the past 1000 days, we can say that we were truly happy. We worked harder than ever and though there were unexpected obstacles in our way, we were able to grow that much and learn. We wanted to share the story of the past 1000 days that were happy, from the moment we woke up till the moment we fell asleep.”

JYJ’s interview magazine ‘The JYJ – First edition, recording 1000 days’ will be released in Korea and Japan in early February and can be bought at the C-JeS store.

[Trans] 130112 Park Yoochun Hopes To Break Into China, Hints At Ending Of “I Miss You”

[Trans] 130112 Park Yoochun Hopes To Break Into China, Hints At Ending Of “I Miss You

The “Park Yoochun Media Day” event was held in Beijing on 11 January. The popular Korean singer-actor met with the fans and media in Beijing after one and a half years, and there were over 100 media present that day. Yoochun thanked the fans who have been supporting him for the past 10 years since his debut, and also spoke freely about the dramas that he has acted in over the past 3 years, going into details about his two popular pieces from 2012, the dramas “Rooftop Prince” and “I Miss You.”

When Park Yoochun arrived at the Beijing airport on 10 January, a large number of fans carrying blue balloons and blue banners greeted him there, and there were even fans who had clothes pegs in their hair just like the younger Lee Soo Yeon did in “I Miss You.” Netizens said that the “airport had become a concert hall,” proving Yoochun’s high popularity in China.

Full Recap Of The Park Yoochun Press Conference

“Actor Park Yoochun” Surprised at the massive number of views for his dramas on streaming sites

Park Yoochun made his debut in 2003 and became popular as a member of TVXQ, and started activities as part of the group JYJ in 2010. In the same year, he made his official entrance into the Korean drama industry playing a lead role in the drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal”, then participated in “Miss Ripley” in 2011. Within those 2 years, Park Yoochun’s acting skills have gradually matured, and finally, in 2012 he took on a drama that combined the two popular themes of “time-slip” and “crown prince” attained massive local and international popularity for the drama “Rooftop Prince.” Then in winter of 2012, he co-stars with Yoon Eun Hye in the melodrama “I Miss You,” presenting two very different works within the same year and allowing “Actor Park Yoochun” to gain more love and recognition from the audiences.

Park Yoochun said that he felt surprised that his dramas were receiving extremely high views on the Chinese sites. The press conference that was held on this day was actually done because of the dramas, but instead of coming for the sake of promotions, it was due to the great popularity and love from everyone in China that presented him with this opportunity to come to China. On the Korean drama rankings of the Sohu streaming sites, “Rooftop Prince” has been played over 88.38 million times, and with 2 more episodes to the end of “I Miss You,” there have already been over 81.08 million views for the drama, making them the no.4 and no.5 drama on the list, exceeding the numbers for that of hit dramas in 2010 and 2011, “Secret Garden” and “City Hunter.”

Talks in detail about the drama “Rooftop Prince” and hints at spoilers for “I Miss You.”

In previous interviews, Park Yoochun had said that he fell in love with the drama “Rooftop Prince,” and he explained this time that it was because everyone had gotten along really well on set and it felt really good. In the 2012 SBS drama awards, his co-star Han Ji Min had praised Park Yoochun, saying that it was usually the female lead that brightens up the mood on set but Park Yoochun had taken her place in cheering everyone up instead. When talking about the two roles that he had to play in “Rooftop Prince,” Park Yoochun said that he had placed more focus on Lee Gak, as the role of Yong Tae Yong was a new one but Lee Gak’s assumption of his role (in the drama.) He also talked about scenes that left a deep impression on him, such as the happy ending in the final episode as his reincarnation is reunited with Park Ha; the tearful wedding in episode 19 when he leaves the modern world, and how the scene before the wedding where he confesses to Park Ha while lying on the bed had brought tears to his eyes even though the script didn’t call for it, showing how Park Yoochun had become one with his drama character.

As for the current drama “I Miss You” which is still being broadcast, Park Yoochun said that even though many people object to this, he still hopes for a tragic ending, because he feels that only Han Jung Woo’s death can the bring the story to a close. With regards to the character of Han Jung Woo, Park Yoochun said that he envies Jung Woo, because Jung Woo is a normal person, who is very humane, occasionally brash, occasionally childish. As for the kiss scenes which everyone was concerned with, Park Yoochun said that the feeling of the scene that was aired is usually different from when it was shot, but in both dramas, but as he got along well with both female co-stars Han Ji Min and Yoon Eun Hye, shooting the kiss scenes were easy. He also said that the kiss in episode 18 of “I Miss You” is the first time he was kissing and smiling at the same time, as he was always crying in previous kiss scenes.

The lamb skewer-loving Korean idol, unspoken plans to break into China

As for movies, Park Yoochun expressed that he does not feel the rush to appear in movies, and that it wouldn’t be late for him to do so even after he turns 30 or 40. This is because his acting would be more mature by then, and there would be more roles that are suitable for him. As for the genres of movies that he likes, Park Yoochun said that he thought about trying out horror shows but gave up because he was afraid, that shooting love stories are tiring and take up too much energy, and that he really wants to try shooting a war film, for example having 500 horses gallop towards him…a descriptive example with such strong imagery that the media in attendance started laughing. When talking about the delicacies in China, Park Yoochun said that lamb skewers are his favourite, causing the audience to break out into laughter once again.

With his coming to Beijing and holding this press conference so early in 2013, his plans to break into the China market are unspoken yet obvious. Park Yoochun said that he had only gone to Shanghai for his 2012 fanmeeting tour, and was busy with the shooting of “I Miss You” after that, having no chance to come to Beijing. He said that Beijing was very cold, but was actually not as cold as Korea. Time was passing by so quickly that he himself didn’t realise that it had been a year and a half since his last visit for the JYJ concert tour. Currently, he has received a lot of requests to appear in Chinese films and dramas, and that he is still looking for a suitable piece. We hope that in the near future, we will be able to see more of Park Yoochun in China.

The Reason Kim Junsu Came On The Stage With His Mother

The Reason Kim Junsu Came On The Stage With His Mother

The young son asked his mother with limpid eyes after singing with his mother.

“Mom, you sing so well. Why didn’t you become a singer?”

His mother smiled and answered to his unexpected question.

“I dreamed of being a singer once, but your grandfather was opposed to it so much…”

The boy promised to his mother who smiled, but slurred her words at the end.
“Mom! I’ll be successful and achieve your dreams for you. I promise.” About 10 years since this promise, she received a phone call from her son at the end of the year.

“Mom, won’t you sing a song with me at my concert?” At first when she heard his son’s words over the phone, she thought he was joking. Her son continued to talk.

“Mom, do you remember? The promise I made you to sing with you on the stage when I become a successful singer. I will be really happy if you would be a guest for my concert.” Her son’s voice was a little bit shaky. But she shook her head at the unexpected suggestion.

“I know what you mean, but you know I can’t sing well as I once could. Don’t you know that better than I do? I’m thankful and happy just at the fact you remembered the promise you made such a long time ago that I’d forgotten about.

But her son was stubborn. She asked him over and over.

“Won’t I ruin your concert? It’s true that I dreamed of being a singer, but I’ve never been on stage before…”

“Don’t worry. You can do better than me. I want to make your dream come true.”

January 1st 12am, 2013.

K-pop star Kim Junsu(XIA)’s solo concert was at the peak at COEX Hall D, Samsung-dong, Seoul. 7000 fans filling in the venue with red lights made their wishes for the new year, wished luck and blessings.

Kim Junsu took a sip of water on the stage.

“I am about to achieve my dream right here today. It is both my dream since my childhood and hers too. My dream is finally coming true today. She probably will be shaking with anxiety behind the stage. Please give her a round of applause and loud cheers.”

The audience began to stir. Curiosity was aroused about who he is introducing. Everyone thought a surprise guest would appear on the stage like any other concerts. ‘Dream of Goose’ started to flow with the sound of the piano.

At that time an unfamiliar middle-aged woman entered the stage with a microphone. The woman standing in the spotlight was Kim Junsu’s mother Yoon Youngmi-ssi. It was a surprising guest, against everyone’s expectation. The mother and the son sang ‘Dream of Goose’ passionately while holding hands. The son beat time with his hands for his nervous mother.

When the song was over, Yoon-ssi shed tears and said, “I’m so thankful to my son who kept the promise he made when he was a child and made my dream true.” The son hugged her without saying anything. Then he escorted his mother backstage.

The son had treasured his ‘mother’s dream’ that she had to give up due to her family’s opposition in his heart. He wanted to give back her ‘lost dream’ as his concert.

So he chose ‘Dream of Goose’ to sing. To deliver a hopeful message to his fans that even a ragged, abandoned dream can cross the wall and soar high into the sky. That even the heavy world will never be able to tie you down. To imagine smiling together at the end of life.

It seemed that their heart touched the audience. One by one, the audience that has been watching the stage started to wipe their tears. All fans said “It was the most beautiful and touching stage in this concert,” and continued, “They embraced the venue warmly with that one song.”

Fans also said, “Their vocals weren’t just technically excellent. Their voices and emotions go so well together, so their chord and tone were in harmony.” More than anything, it was touching to hear a fan saying “Watching the performance, it made me think back what my parent’s wish is and what did I do to achieve it.”

Kim Junsu’s ‘Ballad&Musical Concert’ that was held from December 29th to 31th at COEX, Seoul had a story of the stages he had dreamt of in his childhood and meeting himself who achieved his dreams. However, to Kim Junsu, it was a meaningful concert because not only his dream was achieved, but he also kept the promise he made to his mother when he was a child and helped her mother’s dream to come true. As fans’ dreams were also painted over, they made the best harmony on earth.

Watching his mother’s dream come true while Junsu watched his mother keeping her own dreams in her heart and working hard only for her son’s success. Maybe this was Kim Junsu’s dream too. A beautiful fairy tale-like story of a successful son achieving his mother’s dream became a reality at the very first moment of the first day of 2013, on Kim Junsu’s stage.

[Trans] 130102 Kim Junsu Calls His Mother On Stage And Sings ‘Dream Of A Goose’ With Her As A Duet

JYJ’s Kim Junsu prepared a special event during his solo concert.

Kim Junsu held a solo concert from the 29th to the 31st of December in COEX’s Hall D that combined musicals with ballads. He reenacted musical numbers with a vocal chorus and an orchestra, and sang much-loved OSTs and ballads from his album with a pop chorus.

On the last day, Kim Junsu brought his mother on stage and sang ‘Dream of a Goose’ with her. Kim Junsu explained why the performance was so meaningful when he stated, “My mother used to get vocal training but she had to give up her dream of standing on stage because my grandfather was against it. When I was little, I promised her that when I became a singer, I would perform with her on stage. We were able to make that dream come true today and I hope that all of you never lose any of your dreams and I hope 2013 brings more happiness to you all.”

During his concert, Kim Junsu collaborated with an orchestra to sing selections from ‘Mozart!’, ‘Tears of Heaven’ and ‘Elisabeth’, and created an emotional gala performance with Kim Sun Young. Beginning with a musical theme, he sang much-loved ballads such as ‘I Don’t Like Love’, ‘Love is like a Snowflake’, ‘Though I Know’ and ‘Thank U for’. He also performed songs of other much-loved artistes such as ‘Because You’re My Girl’ and ‘Really’.

During his encore performance, Kim Junsu sang an acoustic version of his title song ‘Tarantallegra’ and after a stage change, he gave an impressive performance.

Kim Junsu (XIA) stated, “I believe that the greatest gift I can give to the people who love my music and come to my concerts is to do my best to give great performances. I’ve been so happy for the past three days,” and “I think I was able to go through the world tour and this end-of-the-year concert because I was certain that the people who loved my music would continue to keep an eye on me. I wanted to share that gratitude, and the heart-stopping emotions that I felt during the past year as I stood on stage with the audience, and I believe I accomplished that. The past three days have been so emotional and joyful for me.”

[Trans] 121214 [A Style’s Celeb] An Interview With Kim Jaejoong, Who Has Settled Down As An Actor

[Trans] 121214 [A Style’s Celeb] An Interview With Kim Jaejoong, Who Has Settled Down As An Actor

Lights and ornaments for each room… call me an interior design enthusiast

Kim Jaejoong (27) will not be able to forget 2012. This is because it was the year that Kim Jaejoong moved away from his title as a member of JYJ and made his mark as an actor. He garnered much attention for his role in the drama ‘Dr. Jin’ and has taken his first step to becoming an actor on the big screen through his role in ‘Jackal is Coming’.

Even amidst his busy schedule, Kim Jaejoong is never idle in one aspect. Working on the interior design of his house.

“I think I have a knack when it comes to interior designing. Haha!”

He smiled brightly when the topic of interior designing came up and began talking animatedly. He said, “I have a lot of affection for the house I’m currently living in,” and “Whenever I have a spare moment, I work on the interior design of my house.” Kim Jaejoong once revealed the interior of his apartment last November through his personal SNS account. A simple, circular table, extravagant chandelier and clean-cut marble floors and walls reminded one of a ’boutique hotel’.

“It’s already been a year since then. The interior design has changed. I’m the kind of person who will change furniture immediately once I get tired of it.”

With that, he gave us his phone to show us a picture of his living room. A horse sculpture, the size of a normal human being, is what catches our eye. When we said, “That sculpture is cool,”  he replied by saying, “It’s not a sculpture, it’s a lighting apparatus.”

“It’s a product I really like. It took me a lot of effort to get it. I really like lamps. I make sure to have at least two or three lighting apparatuses in each of my rooms.”

He has a lot of unique ornaments in his home. As someone who prefers modern furniture, he tries to place sensual items in strategic locations to create a sophisticated image.

“I like simple designs for the most basic pieces of furniture like sofas and tables. I usually choose unique and sensual products to become focal points in each room.”

Kim Jaejoong, whose love for interior design is quite extraordinary, laughed as he said, “I might even leave my friends for the sake of interior designing.” It’s been long since he gave up on the cats he once liked so much.

“I like inviting my friends over to my house, but they touch my favorite art pieces and leave fingerprints on them. And they break my clocks. I feel as though I have to choose between friendship and interior designing. (laughter) I found that I can’t keep a cat either. I used to have cats but they scratched my favorite blue sofa. So I gave them to my sister.”

As he is now done with his movie, we said to Kim Jaejoong, “Now that you have more downtime, we’re guessing your house will become more beautiful.”

“I’m already in the process of choosing my next project. Acting is so much fun. Decorating my house doesn’t conflict with my schedule because it’s something I’m always doing. Maybe next time, I’ll open my house up to cameras? (laughter)”

[Trans] 121202 Park Yoochun, “My Younger Brother Made Me Very Proud Of Him”‏

[Trans] 121202 Park Yoochun, “My Younger Brother Made Me Very Proud Of Him”

Park Yoochun who is currently acting as the lead in MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Missing You’, recently praised his younger brother in an interview, “In the past, I have a feeling that I had to lead the family (as a family head) but now my younger brother’s strength is getting stronger gradually that he made me feel that I have some parts I can depend on.”

Ever since his younger brother Park Yoohwan (21) debuted as an actor last year’s February in MBC weekend drama ‘Shiny Shiny Shining’, he experienced a total of three dramas last year, including MBC ‘Gye Baek’ and SBS ‘Thousand Days Promise’, making his face and name known. Especially in ‘Thousand Days Promise’ where he acted as the younger brother of Soo Ae, his sincere tearing acting gained attraction.

This year, he was chosen to be the lead in Channel A ‘Strongest Kpop Survival’, followed by a six month stint in MBC sitcom ‘Can’t Live Without You’.

Park Yoochun laughed saying, “Yoohwan seems to be acting very well. As he have acted in sitcom and dramas, he has more acting experiences than me.”

He continued to emphasize, “His non-stop filming of 110 episodes recently is very commendable. Seems that since the both of us are acting, we are able to understand and relate to each other. Thus it feels really comfortable and good.”

Park Yoohwan is the typical example of ‘started acting through his brother.’ Living together with his older brother and mother, he returned to Korea after spending 6 years in America. Before he found his goal at acting, he was at a lost with no dream.

However through his older brother Park Yoochun, he developed an interest in acting and after a year of acting classes, he received a pass immediately at his first audition and acted in ‘Shiny Shiny Shining’.

Park Yoochun said, “It’s only a few years ago that I became an actor together with Yoohwan. It was really unexpected. My younger brother is currently doing very well and I am very proud of it.”

[NEWS] JYJ’s Junsu: “The Only Person Who Will Break PSY’s Record Is PSY Himself”

On November 29 at a hotel in Germany, JYJ’s Junsu made statements concerning singer PSY. He said, “Achieving Billboard Top 10 is hard even for American singers, so for PSY to reach top two with a song sang in Korean was an amazing accomplishment. Realistically, I think it would be hard for other Korean singers to break his record, except maybe PSY himself. Perhaps, and hopefully, we could be the one to break the record.”

Junsu continued, “Music is not like soccer where you can keep a clear score. When I say my goal is to succeed in music, what I mean is to improve people’s view on KPop music.”

He also shared the story of how he first saw “Gangnam Style” MV. He said, “When I was in U.S. to shoot “Uncommitted” MV, an American actor for this MV showed me “Gangnam Style” MV on his cellphone.”

Junsu has been a member of DBSK, and then JYJ, and became a top star in Korea. As a member of JYJ, his popularity has spread to Japan, and the rest of the world including in North and South America.

In May 2012, Junsu has released a solo album “Xia” and has performed in Asia, North and South America, and Europe. He will be completing his world tour on December 30 in Oberhausen in Germany.
